My thoughts on voter fraud:
In order to believe voter fraud does not exist, you must believe at least one of the following two absurd premises:
1) That there is not at least one single soul, given the opportunity, would try to steal an election, or
2) The systems in place are so perfect that they will detect each and every instance of attempted voter fraud.
Assuming most reasonable people will reject both of those notions, the obvious conclusion is that there is at least some voter fraud going on, likely in every election.
It then becomes a matter of degree - How much occurs, how much goes undetected, and whether or not it may, in some instance, tip the outcome of the election.
The key word there being undetected - The very nature of the word means we don't know. And as someone once said, "What you don't know, you don't know".
So, we sort of take it on faith that they'll get the count right. Hopefully, that faith is well-founded.
This logic may ruffle some feathers - People like to believe they know with certainty. Some will insist the "know" that their candidate was cheated when they lose. Some will insist they "know" the election was entirely legitimate when their candidate wins. The truth is, no matter what they insist, no matter what the believe they know, they don't really know. Indeed, how could they possibly know? We rely on the reporting of others, trusting in both their collective skills and integrity. Trust.
And trust is different than knowing.
Now, let's return to blasting whomever it is we wish to blast at this time. Pardon the interruption.
