Obama, Dems and racial tension

Do you blame Obama for current levels of racial tension?

Obama has been in office for over seven years. During that time he has done very little to help Afro Americans either on the employment front or on the racial front. He has provided a fundamental transformation in spreading the wealth which in turn has turned many blacks into dependency on government assistance and not by allowing them to escape the grips of poverty. Instead he has provided vast and extensive entitlement programs that allow minority's to exist in a government dependency trap. Unemployment numbers for black Americans are far higher than the national average. Obama has presented himself as a racial divider and has caused racial discourse across this entire nation. Never in quite sometime has the racial feelings of inequality been higher. Fact is that Obama uses race as a political tool to promote progressive socialist agenda not to empower black Americans.

Obama has filled his administration with those who harbor the same racial animosity and desire to use race to further divide the country.

There is a small minority of Blacks that see through him and his agenda, but not many.

Heck, the lady who was gleefully saying she'd no longer have to worry about her books, etc. , when Obama was elected has even changed her time now, actually coming out and saying he's done little or nothing to help Blacks since the election in '08.

Obama has only made things worse. He stokes the racial fires with his incendiary rhetoric.

Democrats have created a generations-long dependency class, squelching ambition and dreams of doing better for themselves.

I have never seen racial tension and division be as bad as it is right now.

Have you?

Who do you hold responsible for this?

Do you blame Obama for current levels of racial tension?
Obama is the most racially divisive and generally divisive president in US history. He has open disdain for the Republicans and open disdain for white people. Obama has set the tone. His little minions have done the dirty work.

Yes. I blame Obama. He started with "the police acted stupidly" (even though he admittedly didn't have enough information to make that statement). It went downhill from there.

Unless you're talking about hatred of Arabs, something Obama's wars obviously contributed to, I'm going to have to say 'no.' The Republicans are doing far more to stir up racial resentment than anything Obama has done.

In all my 54 years I've never seen it this bad. We've had our bumps in the road but we came together and resolved the problem. But you can't keep people dependent on the government unless you can keep them divided

Besides Trump's mouthing off, what have the Republicans done?
1. Attacking voting rights of Blacks.
2. Anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim scapegoating that goes well beyond Trump.
3. Blatant racist statements from elected officials other than Trump.
4. Unprecedented lack of cooperation with, or respect for the office of, a president who happens to be the U.S.'s first Black president, including voting against their own proposals once Obama agreed to them, interrupting his speeches to accuse him of lying, spurious challenges to his eligibility to be president, and racial appeals, again by elected officials.
5. Vocal support of police brutality and lynchings by many Republicans including elected officials.
