Obama is architect of Afghanistan mess, says former US special ops general

Throughout the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle and the Taliban's rapid takeover, one person has been strangely silent: former President Barack Obama.

Former Brig. Gen. Don Bolduc, who spent nearly six years as special operations commander in Afghanistan, believes the onetime leader of the free world has not commented because he doesn't want blowback for the catastrophic blunder he helped create.

Now lets hear from those who didn't serve or weren't there, right?

'We Are Safer': President Obama Marks Formal End of War in Afghanistan (nbcnews.com)

Barack Obama: "I Ended The War In Iraq" - YouTube
Bush ordered the invasion in 2001. He did it on the cheap, with only a handful of US troops in Tora Bora trying to kill or capture Bin Laden and Taliban leaders....but it is Obama's fault that they got away...right?

The General credits Obama with the surge in 2009 which took back the land the Talban had gained control of while Bush was in charge. Even Bush recognized that pulling troops out to invade Iraq was a mistake and he had begun to increase US troops in country. In 2003 we had 13,000 troops in the country. A year later Bush sent another 7,000 troops because the Taliban was winning. In 2007 Bush sent another 5,000. The Taliban now controls over half of the country.

Did your republican General complain about that? Nah. Obama brings in 75,000 more troops and as the General points out, takes back the country from the Taliban. In 2014 Obama begins to draw down the number of US troops in Afghanistan and the General argues we should have kept 100,000 troops in the country.

Trump was in charge from 2017 on...what did he do that was in any way helpful?

That is the bottom line.

The General says we had the highest casualty rate in 2018...we lost 14 soldiers in combat that year. Hardly the highest loss since 2001.

Trump released 5,000 Taliban prisoners as part of his surrender. One of them was the guy who negotiated Trump's surrender.

So now we're not out of Afghanistan again, and Trump was not the architect of that. Opposite land strikes once again from the land of the zealot

Yet not one military member was killed in 2020
You posted where Obama had more deaths than any CIC
1. Trump surrendered in Feb 2020. The Taliban agreed to a cease fire in return for the US pulling all troops out by May 1st 2021. During that cease fire we quit providing air support to the Afghan army....and the Taliban killed over 3,000 of them.
2. Where did I post that Obama had more military killed than any other CIC?
Quit lying.

You still parroting the phony "I like McCain" rabble?

And worst of all, according to Obama, McCain had nothing but smears for Democrats: “Sen. McCain and his operatives are gambling that they can distract you with smears rather than talk to you about substance.
