lucky for cons they've removed GWB from their collective memory. otherwise they'd feel ashamed of his behavior and how it reflects on the conservative movement.

So, THIS explains why I don't see this story on "NEWSMAX's" ad to the right. They were pinning this one on Jeb.

So? You believe whatever someone in a BLOG tells you? I don't think you've gotten the whole story. You're blog doesn't include this bit of information (surprise!).....

According to the charity’s yearly reports to the IRS, it raised about $2,450,000, after expenses, from the 2012 gala where President Bush spoke. The following year, the gala netted the charity substantially less, about $1,000,000.
Speaking and traveling fees for the former President were paid by the charity, but the amount was underwritten by a private donor, the charity lawyer said.
A spokesperson for the former President, Freddy Ford, confirmed the payment but declined to comment on the criticism over the $100,000 speaking fee from the veterans' charity.
In an e-mail statement, Ford said, “President Bush has made helping veterans one of his highest priorities in his post presidency.”
He said the former President has hosted golf tournaments and mountain bike rides for veterans and was working on the Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative to help “give returning veterans the first-class support they deserve.”

Bush has done more for this charity then ANY Democrat could even dream of. As much as they raise each year, $100,000 is nothing. As it ends up, they got their money back.
Nothing to see here......

Bush is wealthy enough to forgo a speaking fee and expenses to benefit the very troops left maimed and disabled by his orders to invade a country that was no threat to us.

So is this a Left-Wing way to beg forgiveness for Hillary's speaking fees and explain why she doesn't pay interns?

He's helped them make a shit-load of money...$100,000 isn't that much compared to what Clinton's get for speaking (or I should say, bullshitting). He sponsors them in all kinds of events to collect money. What has Obama or the Clinton's ever done for our veterans besides show them their disgust in them? Give it up...you're not going to win. The majority of those troops signed up to fight his war & knew what could happen. He's done what he can to help them. I don't hear of anyone else doing what he does.

Bush is the only person I am aware of who sent our troops to war and then took a speaker's fee plus expenses from a veteran's charity. that's as disgraceful as it comes.

Hillary didn't take money from disabled veterans.
Because they can't afford her or because she hates the military?

Hillary Rodham Clinton and former president Bill Clinton earned in excess of $25 million for delivering 104 speeches since the beginning of 2014, a huge infusion to their net worth as she was readying for a presidential bid.

The Clintons revealed their recent income as paid speakers and other aspects of their personal finances in disclosure forms filed with the Federal Election Commission on Friday...

....According to the disclosure, Hillary Clinton delivered 51 speeches in 2014 and the first three months of 2015, earning more than $11 million. Her fees varied, but she earned as much as $315,000 for speaking to eBay in San Jose on March 11; she also collected $325,000 for speaking to the technology company Cisco in Las Vegas in August.

After she left her post, Hillary Clinton’s huge speaking fees at times attracted criticism. In particular, she charged as much as $300,000 to speak at public universities, though she generally donated the funds to Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation. Those engagements are not reflected among the new disclosures, since they did not provide Clinton with personal income.

I love how you're oh so worried about the Veterans now.
Why not complain about what the Clintons have done? Or is it just that you can use the Veterans for your political bias? How about cleaning up your side before worrying about what someone else is doing? Stop being a hypocrite. Bill was an impeached President, yet someone is willing to pay him thousands and thousands to speak. Gee, at least they're not BROKE any longer!

Oops....

Medical Bill: Mystery donor picked up $150G tab for 2010 Clinton speech

The $150,000 fee was a mere fraction of the $48 million Clinton took in from 215 speeches between 2009 and 2013, while his wife was secretary of state.

“Bill and Hillary Clinton are married, so under the law, paying him for a speech is like giving money directly to her – to the Secretary of State,” Fitton said. “I cannot think of a comparable ‘pay to play’ scandal.”
Clinton gave 542 speeches around the world between 2001 and 2013, earning $104.9 million, and delivered another 53 speeches between January 2014 and May 2015, earning an additional $13.5 million, according to reports by Fox News and the Washington Post. The former president's speaking fees have ranged from $28,100 for a 2001 talk at the London School of Economics to $750,000 for a 2011 appearance at an event for Swedish communications company Ericsson.

"These donors don't cut checks because they want to hear a brief speech," said Sean Davis, co- founder of The Federalist, a conservative online magazine. "They do it to gain access or favors from the Clintons. The Clintons owe voters a clear explanation of who is funneling them this money and why.”

the Clinton's didn't take money from veteran's charities for speeches.
not only did GW Bush take $100,000 speaking fee plus expenses, but Laura Bush spoke to that same group the year prior and took $50,000 in speaker fees.
the only reason these veteran's groups have to raise money for these maimed and disabled vets, is because these vets are maimed and disabled because Bush sent them to war on a lie. how ironic is that?

the Bushes are worth $35 million. it's disgraceful that they couldn't give their valuable time for free.....for disabled vets.

Only the anti-military Clintons, worth $101 Million, would spurn veteran groups because those groups can't afford the Clinton's $300,000 speakers fee.

Now let's talk about the candidate running for President, not a past one: Hillary "I'm dead broke" Clinton.

Why do you think she hates the military so much? I've know it since they first moved from Arkansas into the White House. Friends who either worked at the Pentagon, with Congress or the White House as military attaches spoke often of it.

Net Worth: $80 Million

Why isn't Clinton asked to speak for the veterans?

Average Net Worth: $32,015,004*

Minimum Net Worth: $11,330,008
Maximum Net Worth: $52,700,000

Average 2014 Income: $30,522,506**

Min. Gross Income: $30,372,511
Max. Gross Income: $30,672,501

Why aren't the Clinton's asked to speak? Do you believe they would do it for FREE? Do they do anything for FREE? First, someone else paid for Bush's speech....the Veterans got their money back. Second, they know who supports them. That may be why the Clintons have never been asked! You're making a mountain out of a molehill....

The Clintons weren't asked to speak at any veterans charities! Lol! Someone else paid Bush's speaking fees, so it didn't come from the Veterans. Bill clinton is worth 80 million...how much has he donated to the Wounded Warriors? How often has he sponsored any of their charities? You're full of BS.

neither Bill nor Hillary have charged fees plus expenses to speak to veteran's groups.
only GW Bush and his wife, the lovely Laura, together charged roughly $200,000 to speak before a veteran's charity. imagine that. GW Bush, responsible for those very soldiers being maimed and disabled, CHARGING them speaking fees. and you want to defend that. go ahead. it shows your true colors.
