once again, research and fact destroys popular narrative...

When the facts don't fit the narrative, the play is to ignore the facts or, failing that, change the subject.

What will not occur is an abandonment of the narrative.

So here we are.
Alright then. Just don’t mention the effects of a lack of gun control. You know - that “narrative” stuff.

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.
Here’s the breakdown by state…

The tighter the gun controls, the less gun violence per capita there is. And vice-versa.

No real surprise there.
Has anyone done a state by state correlation between gun violence and minority population density? Because those states with the worst record on gun violence also tend to have the highest density of minority population. I guess that proves gun violence is, well, "racist."

Nope. It’s not racist. Crime in general, and gun violence in particular, are associated with poverty and hopelessness, and those conditions are heavily associated with cities. Of course, the strength of gun control laws in an area is also a very significant factor. Focusing one one to the exclusion of others is a pointless exercise.

Correlations are red herring. We are looking for causations.

In order to solve a problem, the first step is to correctly identify it.

The problem here, with regard to gun violence, is the trend in human behavior.

Until that is addressed, any other proposed solution is pure folly.

Absolutely! The problem is not the guns, the problem is the decisions made to aim a gun, with little to no respect for life and pulling the trigger.

When Darrell Brooks killed six innocents in the Waukesha parade by plowing his truck into them, no one blamed the truck. Nor should they.

We need to stop blaming the inanimate objects for what people do.

Nobody is saying what should be done about it.
Because there is nothing to be done about it.
So just live it.
Sure there is. We can incarcerate criminals, we can find and treat the insane, we can foster decency in our children instead of raising them to be pigs and animals. Decent people can stand up and say we don't want to take it anymore. But on the other hand you're right we still have to live it. But not just
