Trump declared ceasefire with the Taliban. That meant no US air support for the Afghan army. They lost about 3,000 KIA in 2020, during Trump's ceasefire.
Trump negotiated the release of 5,000 Taliban prisoners.
Trump did not include the Kabul government or any of our allies in the negotiations.
By January of 2021 we had withdrawn most of our troops and left only 2,500 soldiers. That wasn't even enough to secure Bagram and Kabul airports, much less the capitol.
