Congress in general usually has a favorable rating in the low 20% realm. I think if both parties worked together to get positive legislation passed, the ratings of congress and both parties would rise.

Imbibing from the organs of propaganda the dominant ideology that the common good is served by a rejection of the Democrats and Republicans respectively on the basis of a centrist compromise rather than a radical leftist rejection of their common premises, popular wisdom holds that the Democrats’ antilabor extremism comes from their alleged leftist agenda and not from their actual rightist agenda; but the public accurately and instinctively sees that the Republicans have a much more extreme, much more viscerally dangerous agenda, and so they choose the “lesser evil” as they see it of a Democratic Party they consider “out of touch” on the left (although polling shows clearly that the masses are well to the left of the Democratic Party on almost any issue of importance) to forestall the greater evil of a Republican Party that is way more “out of touch” on the extreme right and openly trying to take away our right to continue choosing based on their baselsss aspersions against our system of elected representative government.

Here is what they said they wanted Biden to concentrate on.

Inflation/rising prices		51%
The economy; creating jobs		32%

This while we were and still are in the greatest job creation streak of any administration in our history. They were clueless to the reality of the situation.

Versus what they thought he was concentrating on.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine	34%
The coronavirus pandemic	33%

It was less than one month in Russia's invasion.
Did it seem to you back then that Ukraine was Biden's top priority ?
