Only .432 per million have died precisely because the economy was shut down.
Nope...look at the chart again. Per capita the US has been essentially tied with Germany all along. That's why the media doesn't use it. It's not scary enough...that's their job and apparently yours too.

Holy cow, MV. Nice revision. Do you rewrite history books also? Just wondering. So the saying, "Remember the Maine!" was all about being careful to navigate mines? We didn't blame the sinking of the ship on the Spanish?

During the late 1800s, there were three main causes of the Spanish-American War, each one pushing the U.S to declare war. These causes are Cuba wanting their independence from Spain. The growing American imperialism and the sinking of the battleship the Maine were also cause of the war.

....................................................................................
Declassified documents showed that there was no naval engagement in the Gulf of Tomkin; it was more fake news from the deep state.

....................................................................................
We never went to the moon in a manned space craft. Lots of people came forward to expose it. Do you ever tire of lying? This isn't the same as 09/11, 09/11 was real enough, but it was an inside job, and it was full of deceptions and lies from the deep state. Again, lots of people came forward and exposed the false flag.

....................................................................................
Libya was attacked by al quaida and NATO forces. There was no uprising in Libya prior to our invasion. The reason Libya was suddenly attacked was because Gaddafi was introducing a gold currency to the African continent.

....................................................................................
I can sum up all your posting with one verse from the Bible. This is exactly what you do...

3 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
The sinking of the Maine was blamed on the Spanish. Nobody said Spanish guns opened fire on the Maine.

What declassified documents? I noticed no link to them. The fact is that the first combat was between 3 North Vietnamese boats....Four of their sailors were killed.
The second incident was actually two US vessels which mistakenly fired on each other.

In 2005, an internal National Security Agency historical study was declassified; it concluded that Maddox had engaged the North Vietnamese Navy on August 2, but that there were no North Vietnamese naval vessels present during the incident of August 4.

"No uprising in Libya"? Bullshit. Gadaffi's mercenaries open fire on demonstrators in Zawiya on 8 Aug, 2009. There were incidents every few weeks until a clash between security forces and demonstrators in Benghazi on 15 Feb 2011. That became a full scale rebellion led by the National Transitional Council. The UN passed a resolution freezing Gadaffi's assets and calling for an investigation of the deaths of hundreds of Libyan civilians by Gadaffi's troops. The UN passed a resolution calling for a no-fly zone to halt the bloodshed mostly at the hands of the Libyan air force.

I noticed that Alex Jones isn't doing so well in the lawsuit about the "false flag" bullshit. Have you sent him any cash?

I hope for the death of none. Reformed character would be swell though.

Your hope is irrelevant. Action was what was required, and delayed, and still is being. Now we ride the wave, blindly, sans any accurate way to track it now. That horse has left the barn.

"The fast-spreading novel coronavirus is almost certainly killing Americans who are not included in the nation’s growing death toll, according to public health experts and government officials involved in the tally.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention counts only deaths in which the presence of the coronavirus is confirmed in a laboratory test, agency spokeswoman Kristen Nordlund said. “We know that it is an underestimation.”

A widespread lack of access to testing in the early weeks of the U.S. outbreak means people with respiratory illnesses died without being counted, epidemiologists say. Even now, some people who die at home or in overburdened nursing homes are not being tested, according to funeral directors, medical examiners and nursing home representatives."

Would anyone like what-about-what-aboutism China's reported numbers again?

And it appears India has blocked exportation of Don's snake oil remedy.

Let us recall shall we, as we observe the trajectory, that the US and S Korea diagnosed their first COVID-19 cases on the exact same day; Jan 21st.

Hopelessly partisanshitheads can point and sneeringly attempt to hurl blame in order to obfuscate the reality that we all participated in and cooperated with allowing turning our economic-political-healthcare-societal systems over to the predatory whims of concentrated capital.

Enjoy the shortages and rationing of hellthcare, capital thanks you once again for their socialist bailout.

Nobody said the Spanish fired on the Maine. The suspicion was a mine blew up the ship.

There was a battle between North Vietnamese PT boats and US ships in the Tonkin Gulf. There are even pictures of the NVA boats coming at the USS Maddox.

We never went to the moon? So thousands of people participated in a hoax? Same with 911...and yet nobody came forward to admit it.

No internal revolt in Libya? So who was shelling Benghazi before Nato implemented air support for the rebels?

Seek help dude....
The one that needs help is YOU and YOU know LBJ lied about Gulf of Tonkin and got 58,000 Americans killed due to his damn lie...……….

I pointed out the facts related to the two incidents. I also believe that the US instigated the incident and fired on the North Vietnamese boats first. Out ships and planes were doing all we could to provoke the North...but the facts also show the North was already heavily involved in sending weapons and supplies south. Without aid from the NVA the Viet Cong would have collapsed by 1964.

The Gulf incident should not have caused congress to pass the resolution that put a few hundred thousand American troops on the ground in the South. Paranoia over the communists taking over Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos was the driving force. The "domino theory" cost a lot of lives.

Ah, another of our illegal unconstitutional wars of empire abroad.

Good times. Refused to go. And in retrospect, obviously the right decision.

Afterwards, after the fact, after the war was already on, the Navy investigated the accident and declared it was a mine, but after that they re-investigated and decided it was a boiler explosion, but either way, it set off the forward magazine rack which exploded spectacularly and that was originally attributed to Spanish cannon in the harbor. You know this, and any historian knows it, but nothing hinders you from lying... especially when you are working on a threadjack, you tell your lies to derail the thread. I know your gig. I'm not spending my entire Sunday running down all your lies. Have a great day in Denver, MV.

The cause of the accident was immediately debated. Waking up President McKinley to break the news, Commander Francis W. Dickins referred to it as an "accident."[51] Commodore George Dewey, Commander of the Asiatic Squadron, "feared at first that she had been destroyed by the Spanish, which of course meant war, and I was getting ready for it when a later dispatch said it was an accident."[52] Navy Captain Philip R. Alger, an expert on ordnance and explosives, posted a bulletin at the Navy Department the next day saying that the explosion had been caused by a spontaneous fire in the coal bunkers.[53][54] Assistant Navy Secretary Theodore Roosevelt wrote a letter protesting this statement, which he viewed as premature. Roosevelt argued that Alger should not have commented on an ongoing investigation, saying, "Mr. Alger cannot possibly know anything about the accident. All the best men in the Department agree that, whether probable or not, it certainly is possible that the ship was blown up by a mine

It was never attributed to Spanish guns. Every ship has a watch, even when moored in a harbor. Survivors of the explosion would have known they were under fire and called general quarters. The captain and most officers survived. Are you saying the captain didn't know his ship was under attack by the guns in the fort?

Indeed. It would be cool, though, if we at least held our fellow citizens accountable to their horrid personal conduct...even as we see their/our supposed “representatives” hosing us over time and again.

Or, conversely, we can whiz our rhetorical pants.

Either way...

Just got home from COSTCO. Bucket list item for me will be to one day understand what the heck mass hoarding of toilet paper has to do with respiratory virus. Foodstuffs I get. Hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes...yep and yep. But stockpiling tush swab tissue just doesn’t add up. It’s become a bizarre fetish. It may as well be Homer Formsby wood oil finish...or hedge trimmers...or duraflame compressed fire logs.

Not that you asked, but mask report out:
Visually observed ~ 33% +/- mask wearers. Roughly 2/3rds of folks went “commando” (don’t go there, dudes). I was shopping for my wife’s parents and an elderly couple who live next door to me. Merchandise was generally well-stocked for the most part.

You are rewriting history. You are attempting to say that the sinking of the Maine was not used as a pretext to go to war with Spain. Every history book ever written says the opposite.

"Remember the Alamo" was a rallying cry for the war with Mexico.

"Remember the Maine" was a rallying cry for the war with Spain.

duh.

Liar.

Readind comprehension being a distinct weakness with you, go back through the thread and find where I said it was not a pretext for war. I said nobody claimed Spanish guns sank the Maine. I provided links to documents from the next day which suggested mine blew up beneath the ship.

Meanwhile you have failed to link to any source backing up your version of history.
