Do any of you really think Trump acts with dignity, class and integrity? Does he represent the America we all believed in and were proud of? Would you consider him a good friend given his behavior? Or do you think he is a proxy for your own inner urges and complaints? Do you really think insulting everyone while in a position of power is representative of who we are as a people? Do you really believe the world is impressed with this man? Do they love us more because of him? Are you proud of him? Why?
Well, I guess I must search through every forum and post to make sure I follow the rules around here. Trump is awful, of course. This, however, does NOTHING to cleanse and/or improve the qualities of Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden. This very thing is what I continually post to the LEGIONS of Democrat homers in this forum.
Personally, I vote third party regardless...but I do not understand why - - in the face of such a hideous person as Trump - - Democrats choose to run candidates sufficiently terrible such that Trump is rendered viable. A lifelong, philandering, billionaire playboy who dates pornstars and has more negative footage on file than Farrakhan...VIABLE!?!
So, to answer your question - No, Trump does not exemplify most of the traits I’d like to see in a president, particularly in terms of his personal behavior and speech. He’s awful. No need to mince words. So why the heck are DEMOCRATS so utterly incapable of some inward-looking consideration as to why/how they keep nominating miserable options to oppose him? I see literally NO introspection on this...ever.
Again though - full disclosure. Dems and GOP will not see my vote no matter who they run.

Then you would be wrong. I gave them the shout out because they deserved them. With all of the bile that gets thrown out by the right wingers here on a daily basis I was surprised to find that they were handing out bans in a mostly reasonable manner. Therefore I made the post to let people know. I am sure that they appreciate the love.

Congress as an institution cannot function on this kind of partisan mentality. There can be no meaningful oversight of the executive branch if the only standards are “Yay, team!” and “Boo, team!” The party of the president should be just as keen as the other party to enforce subpoenas and punish contempt, because both parties in Congress should feel the same concern for the powers of Congress. But of course, that’s not how things work.
Almost all Republicans in the House of Representatives, and the great majority of Republicans in the Senate, will act to defend a president they despise against charges they know to be true. The worst of them will hare after crazy conspiracy theories. Most, though, will voice their concern and then find ways to avoid their duty. The system that protects all of us has failed because the protectors of that system have failed to protect it for us.
Democracy does not fly on autopilot. If the people responsible for the institutions of democracy will not do the job, the job will not be done. While the job goes undone, the United States and the world careen toward conflict and crisis.
The System Failed the Test of Trump
The story of recent years is of institutions that were unable to constrain the presidency.
