Putin is playing US wingers like a fiddle

Could it have been better? Yes. Who controlled that? Putin. He had no reason to want to trade both US citizens and could just have easily canceled the whole deal.
It takes two sides to negotiate. You're just making excuses for Biden's pitiful negotiation efforts.

Russia can easily grab the next chucklehead that idiotically brings a cannabis product into Russia and hold them to trade for some real criminal that the US spends tons of effort to capture. At least they can if Biden is the one they are negotiating with.

It was a shit deal. Biden signed off on it.

So you think it would have been better to leave Griner in Russia? That was the only choice.

I think he should have gotten both out or neither and the bottom line is that he could have almost certainly gotten both is he held strong. You say it was Putin that controlled the negotiations - bullshit. There were two sides. Biden should have held firm. Putin is in a terrible position and needed a win. A decent negotiator would have done far better.

"Nobody f*cks with a Biden" - well Putin just did,

Putin didn't need a win. Releasing Griner didn't get him anything.

A decent negotiator? Like Trump?

Putin didn't need a win? Are you blind? How well do you think he's faring in Russia with all of the losses in Ukraine and all of the young men that they need for their economy fleeing the country. Of course he needed a win.

I never said a damn thing about Trump or his negotiating skills or lack thereof. You're just trying to derail the discussion.

No. He didn't to release Griner to get himself a bump in approval for the thousands killed in Ukraine. Releasing her and getting Bout back was not a win that will change a damned thing.

In any case, Biden was not the negotiator. He set the parameters and ultimately signed off on the best the negotiators thought they'd get.

There you have it - a stated preference to have Griner rot in the gulag.

Putin is losing his war, falling down step and [Unwelcome language removed] in his pants and you so stupid you think getting the terrorist known as the Merchant of Death isn't a WIN!

No wonder you're not allowed outside alone.

Now ask the stupid question of has Bout ever killed anyone and read the title given him again Merchant of Death
