Question about Edward Snowden.

Ever since the war between Russia and Ukraine began, I've been thinking about Edward Snowden.
He and his family are stuck in Russia. (He got married and has a baby now). Should they be allowed to return to the USA? Edward said he is willing to be tried by a jury of his peers if he returns. He still considers the USA to be his home. I believe he should be able to come home.
What do you folks think?
