He was farting about requiring all federal officials, from Congress, to the Executive, to the Supreme court to enroll in Obamacare!Whaddya think about that! I betcha that idea'll get a whole lotta heads to noddin' and not just Fox/GOPs. I mean...why the hell shouldn't they take the same medicine their forcing on all of us?

....Uh-oh.....Obamacare allows us to KEEP our current coverage. D'oh!

To understand the stupidity of these politicians, one must consider the audience.

These people thrive on stupidity. It's what they beg for.

But what are they exempting themselves and other groups from then? Seriously, I don't know and I'm asking.
I do know they don't pay for their medical care and that is annoying.

These people have jobs. Their employer offers healthcare coverage. Obamacare "exempts" me from having to ditch my current coverage in favor of something from one of the Obamacare exchanges. Why shouldn't they be "exempted" just as I am?

It's plain that you're not quite understanding this one. There's nothing wrong with that. We all can't understand everything,. There IS something wrong with Paul trying to take political/hyperbolic advantage of that which you don't know. As a U.S. Senator, it makes more sense for him to actually inform you.

You are correct. I really don't understand much of it. I don't quite get your answer, but that's not what the thread is about.

I'm sorry. I get to rambling. The opponents of Obamacare have been politicking that it forces people to switch from their current plans. So, Paul says we should force these guvmint actors to switch from their current plans, too.

The problem with Paul's schtick, is that Obama care doesn't forece anyone to switch from their current plan. If we want, we can pretend that Paul doesn't know this. But in that case, we'd have to wonder why a U.S. Senator is so clueless.

"Among those who oppose Obamacare, only 30 percent say they understand it, while 69 percent say they don't. But among those who support Obamacare, 45 percent understand it while 53 percent don't."

If the insurance you have at work is not "adequate" enough, doesn't cover people as much as Obamacare says it should, then no...you don't get to keep it. At my job we have 3 plans, and luckily even our lowest plan passes muster. But it doesn't stop our insurance premiums from going up double, and that's what I hear has happened to others, and that's what I hear will happen to ours. But I won't know that for sure until we sign up again next month. It always goes up a few $...but if it doubles like they say, my WEEKLY premiums will go up to about $72 a week! Does the government have to pay any of their premiums? Do they have co-pays? Do they pay anything out of pocket like we have to? I really don't know.......

If your insurance is that bad, then you were getting ripped off to begin with. Poor people opposing Obamacare is every bit as hilarious as would be poor people opposing laws that limit the interest rates charged by Payday Loan outfits.

That's my problem then, isn't it? So I would be forced to get insurance that is more expensive that I can't afford, because our government thinks i NEED it. I don't need maternity care, i don't need pediatric care, and I'm sure there's a lot more in it that I don't need. Let ME decide what i need. I can't believe people are letting the govt make their decisions for them! I'm lucky that I do get to keep my insurance, there is no way I could afford what it shows I would have to pay for ACA...I can not afford over $500 / mo premiums. I can't afford to payout the huge yearly deductibles. Where in hell is any of this Affordable??? It probably will be for the poor, they will get subsidies, most of us won't.
