On November 15, 2019: Mr. Roger Stone, 67 years old, was convicted of seven felonies for obstructing a congressional inquiry, lying to investigators under oath and trying to block testimony of a witness who could have exposed his lies. He did all this to help his friend, Donald Trump. Together, the charges carry a maximum prison sentence of 50 years.
Mr. Stone appealed to Mr. Trump on November 14, 2019 for a pardon. Mr. Trump attacked the guilty verdict against Mr. Stone, but so far has made no mention of a pardon.
Mr. Stone is the sixth former Trump aide to be convicted in cases stemming from the Mueller investigation.
