First The “Mother of All Supply Chain” Shocks

Krishnan doesn’t see an end to the global supply crunch anytime soon and cautions it could take several years for the snarls to unwind. It’s a sobering outlook to start a year that many had hoped would mark the beginning of the end of the Big Crunch

I'm afraid it can't be.
can't be what - a solution ?

Big biz is making some serious corporate profits right now, using this crisis to raise prices and line their stock holder/ personal bonus pockets.

I mean 3 % unemployment and we still can't catch up - people want to spend money and are willing to pay higher prices it seems.

It all seems like the manager at Lowes said, the prices will be what the people are willing to pay - I agree 100%.

Opening the borders and removing tariffs would go a long way.
Imagine if all the illegals they see/ hate in their minds were to be deported The supplies of fruit, veggies and meat would be very, very scarce as the US citizens are too lazy to do those jobs, same with concrete, landscaping and blocklaying.................just imagine it

Moderna
Q3 total revenue of $5.0 billion, net income of $3.3 billion and diluted EPS of $7.70

Pfizer

This year, the Covid vaccine has brought in revenue of $24.3 billion. And Pfizer said it expects a total of $36 billion from the vaccine for all of 2021 -- nearly $12 billion more in revenue the final quarter of the year. And it said based on contracts it now has signed it expects revenue $29 billion from the Covid vaccine in 2022. And that's not necessarily all it will bring in.

Johnson and Johnson
Johnson & Johnson revenue for the twelve months ending September 30, 2021 was $91.446B, a 13.1% increase year-over-year.

Why is the price of meat going up? Because there are four companies responsible for the vast majority of beef products in the USA. Two of those companies just paid huge fines for price fixing.

Companies like Smithfield Foods and JBS have all agreed to pay more than $80 million in fines to settle price-gauging allegations within the past year. In January of this year, Tyson Foods agreed to pay $221.5 million as part of a price-fixing settlement.

Why is the price of cars up? Computer chip shortages.

Where is the "3%" unemployment_________?

Do you not know how capitalism works?
Your compensation is proportional to the size and difficulty of the problem you solve.
Covid being a huge problem means they get to make a huge amount of money by solving it.

Why is the price of nearly EVERYTHING going up? Why do the hyper-partisan DNC hacks spring into action to minimize HISTORIC inflation to service their political (failure) masters?

It never ends. Puny human shields.

Because covid has added layers of complexity to nearly everything which people want to be compensated for dealing with.

Yes I do know how capitalism works. Problem is they haven't solved it following their so called "science". But putting men on the moon took a long time too. Guess we'll just have to wait. How old are you?

You ignore the facts....government does not control prices. The last time a president decided it would be a good idea, it wasn't. Remember when Nixon did it?

The four companies that were prosecuted for price fixing are an example of what government can do.

Demand declined over 2020. Prices declined as a result. Now demand has gone through the roof. You blame Biden.
