Santorum wants contraception banned - LOL

Santorum has long opposed the Supreme Court’s 1965 ruling “that invalidated a Connecticut law banning contraception” and has also pledged to completely defund federal funding for contraception if elected president. As he told CaffeinatedThoughts.com editor Shane Vander Hart in October, “One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country,” the former Pennsylvania senator explained. “It’s not okay. It’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”

Semantics Stan will demand "Where does he say he wants it banned?!?!?!"

Which means Santorum doesn't mean what he says...or is just blathering for the hard-core "pro-lifers". :)

Sanitarium will bend over and take one if it means getting someone to vote for him. He outnuts Bachmann, Paul, and Perry put together.

I want the reporters to ask him to elaborate on....."to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”

I suspect Santorum has a fertile, and possible hard porn, imagination.

Where did he say that? Because I'm not seeing it....what I'm reading is that he proposes to end FEDERAL FUNDING for contraceptives. In other words....Santorum believes in getting the Feds out of our bedrooms, and leave it up to the individual STATES.

I want to get the Feds out of MY bedroom. They've got NO RIGHT to be in it.

So he even though he clearly talks about hating contraception....he wouldn't actually DO anything to stop it, Barbella?

He's just pandering?

Poor choice of words on his part, to be honest.

On the other hand, returning to a little sanity and morality regarding sexual promiscuity, it WOULD reduce the spread of AIDS. Not a bad thing, either.

Terrible choice for his "defenders"

Either Rick MEANS it....which puts him at odds with the majority of Americans who don't oppose contraception.

or he DOESN'T MEAN it...which means he's just pandering.

Which is it? :)

Sure, Barbella....abstinence-only works.

Just ask the Palin family. :D

Of course I'm going to say that. That's because he's against federal funding for contraception. Funny how you liberals are always saying you want government out of peoples' sex lives out of one side of your mouth, while demanding government pay for contraception out of the other.

So much for your "inoculations".

But don't worry about it anyway- poor Julie has suffered so many beatdowns at my hands, I'll doubt she'll EVER reply to me directly. It appears she holds a grudge, quite telling I say.

your Big Govt repubs want to pass the Personhood amendment which would make women second class citizens as they peer into YOUR bedroom. want to join me in the fight for privacy?

So, Stan, when Rick says "contraception is dangerous"....what he "really means" is "Federal funding of contraception is dangerous"????

He just forgot to include that part in his statment??? LOL

Where did she say abstinence-only works? And why should government fund contraception, given how you want government out of peoples' sex lives? It seems your position (pun intended) on the matter is inconsistent. ;)

You'll have to ask him what he means. I'm merely making a statement on the issue of federal funding.

Never in my life did I expect government to pay for my choice of contraceptives. It wouldn't have occurred to me that "they" are responsible for something like that. I thought that my sex life was MY responsibility.

How silly of me! Should I sue them retroactively?

Amazing how liberals assign the most basic of responsibilities, one's reproductive organs, as a responsibility for government.

But keep your nose out of peoples' sex lives!!!

Their logic is pure insanity.

Never in my life did I expect government to pay for my choice of contraceptives. It wouldn't have occurred to me that "they" are responsible for something like that. I thought that my sex life was MY responsibility.

Absolutely, Stan. They want their bread buttered on BOTH sides...ALWAYS. When they find out life generally doesn't work that way, they throw a tantrum. :)

Big Govt repubs want to control your sex life.....by declaring that life begins at conception (Personhood amendment) thus rendering most forms of contraception illegal.

personally, I think they're just a bunch of dirty old men wanting to control women and relegate us to second class citizens. want to join me in fighting for the liberty and privacy of all women?
