I'm one of the deplorables lefty warns you about.
You forgot to include the source of food riots being because of curfews...They had round-the-clock curfews in both of the cities that had riots.

Work HardAnd what is your answer to the crises of segregation and affordable housing?
and not enough cops to enforce curfewsThey had round-the-clock curfews in both of the cities that had riots.
So try that and landlords can't evict you any moreAlso you.
More and more Americans turning to second even third jobs

well, must not be calling for it very hard since you're here majority of your life and not enough leftist here to accomplish thatI’m not. In fact I have consistently called for forming a labor party.
Working people, especially people of color, are working harder than ever. But the crises keep getting worse.Work Hard
The looting speaks for itself. You forgot to include the source of food riots being because of curfews...
A chosen, self-selected soul-sucking profession. These guys should work somewhere else if they don’t like it. Tens and tens of millions of Americans manage to live lives without working at Starbucks. It is a soul sucking profession Rick, the cyber era equivalent of shining shoes. I hate big corporations any more, so I'm all for these barristas giving Howard Schultz a collective middle finger. Or I guess now it's "Laxman Narasimhan." People should go get their lattes at the locally owned coffee shops (or the nearest convenience store and "prepare it" themselves.
In other words..."Take my opinion as truth...because socialism."The looting speaks for itself.
Historical INFLATIONWorking people, especially people of color, are working harder than ever. But the crises keep getting worse.
That was a top post regarding inflation.Your top post deploring a lack of affordable food.
Yeah, it's not that easy Rick. Frankly I'm so sick of Big Government and Big Business (one hand washes the other) that I figure the people who work for megacorps need Big Labor (lets face it, the government isn't going to protect them) or they are going to get effed over every time they turn around. I love seeing companies like Starbucks and Amazon being unionized. Serves them right!A chosen, self-selected soul-sucking profession. These guys should work somewhere else if they don’t like it. I have no affinity for Starbucks, but I don’t support the idea of non-risk-sharing staff dictating business model. No thanks.
I hate unions. Wouldn’t wish such collectivism on anyone…and I don’t fancy empowering marxists. I agree with you in general about the “big government, big corporations” thoughts though. That garbage is just one more reason all the giant corporations went woke are are pro-DNC. They LOVE the ramping up of regulations and associated compliance costs that Democrats always bring…eliminating the viability of any small business competition.Yeah, it's not that easy Rick. Me too Rick - I managed to negotiate the only open shop contract District 1199P of the SEIU ever had to agree to, I believe still to this day. I was brought in after the vote and in the 18 months it took to get to the bargaining table we addressed all the issues that drove the employees into the arms of the union, and then some. Our New York City labor lawyer (whom I used to see quoted in the Wall Street Journal at the time) told us not to do anything so we could use the "concessions" at the bargaining table. I talked the CEO into firing him and doing right by the employees. It paid off!I hate unions. Wouldn’t wish such collectivism on anyone…and I don’t fancy empowering marxists. I hear ya. In the cases of these huge corporations, when the unionization thing starts up, it’s like when the Oregon Ducks play Notre Dame. If only there were some way BOTH could lose…Me too Rick - I managed to negotiate the only open shop contract District 1199P of the SEIU ever had to agree to, I believe still to this day. I find that almost every time a company succumbs to a union organizing campaign, they did something (a lot of somethings) to deserve it.
The market is set up so as to induce a certain number of people to work at Starbucks by providing no better opportunities.A chosen, self-selected soul-sucking profession. I was thinking Portland and Minneapolis since those are where all your examples came from.In other words..."Take my opinion as truth...because socialism."
Since only two cities saw riots, just list them and I'll see if there's any reports of food riots due to food shortages...
Inflation means insufficient supply of goods and services relative to demand. You applied it specifically to food in the linked-to post. That was a top post regarding inflation.
You ok?
Anyway....food is pricey yet as necessity may dictate still very affordable.
Next deliberate misrepresentation of a tp of mine?
The Democrats are racing the Republicans to see who can deregulate fastest, which is the real reason they are supported by a considerable fraction of the big corporations.I hate unions. Googled "food riots" for both cities, here's what I found. Minneapolis had one...in 1931. Wanna revise your statement or use this to establish the EatTheRich "fact page"?I was thinking Portland and Minneapolis since those are where all your examples came from.
