The sirens I thought I heard was a car alarm going off because of a lightening strike.

Kind of glad that my parents took me away from there when I was 3 weeks old. I was born in Bartlesville.

I'm scared of the tornadoes. I do better taking my chances with hurricanes and the occasional nor'easter.

When my parents took me away at the age of 3 weeks we moved to Milwaukee. My mother told me that in addition to more work opportunities for my dad she didn't want me to grow up being prejudiced. She said that blacks and indians had to cross the street if a white was walking there in OK. She didn't want me to grow up in that atmosphere. (I'm white) So I never actually lived in OK.

We were poor but honest.
