So . . Is this the apogee of bloombergs run?

By most accounts bloomberg underwhelmed in last nights debate.

Will he throw good money after bad. Or return to whatever it is 78 year old men preoccupy themselves with in the waning days of their senescence?

Biden apparently finished last in the debate. After his miserable NH primary showing he famously quipped he was "just getting started". Now hes apparently "just getting creamed"?

Barring another heart attack, it looks like it will be sanders losing to trump in november.

It gives me no comfort to predict this. But clearly the democrats learned nothing about unsuitable windbags from their 2016 results.

What excuse will they push on election day this time?

"Free market collusion"?

Bloomberg isn’t out, but Bernie is sitting pretty. Biden is toast. Interesting times ahead...

Unless something drastically changes, there was not one person on that stage that is going to be able to beat Trump in November. It was a free for all, with no true moderation, and seemed to be more like a bunch of 5th graders first attempt at a debate. It was really, really bad.

Perfect for going up against a fifth grade bully - trump. Professionalism is a thing of the past, huh?

I thought all this time the point was that we didn't want somebody like Trump. Now you're affirming that all we want is somebody else like Trump?

Yeah professionalism apparently is a thing of the past. Existentialism flat out threats of imminent demise seems to be the norm. Oh yeah not to mention wild shit slinging just like Trump

When you're going up against somebody childish like trump, maintaining professionalism can work against you. We need somebody to go after him at his own game. That doesn't mean that the winner will behave as childishly as trump once there, but I'm fine fighting fire with fire.

If you don't hold the leaders you elect accountable, then why should anybody else? The bar has been lowered. We've dropped a long way from the Obama days.

It is a shame that you have contributed to the election of trump. Wasnt on my dime. He's not too far of a fall from Obama and persons like Obama. That is to say Obama and persons like him merely insulted the more refined vocabulary. I get your drift. Unfortunately there's nobody present but I would say fit the bill

Trump ain't a moderate. Moderates let themselves become irrelevant because they didn't turn out for Hillary. The Russians turned moderates into a wholly unreliable lot of votes. They don't even show up to vote.

The consensus among the talking heads in the aftermath seems to be that this was a disaster for Bloomberg.....Whether or not that will make a difference with voters remains to be seen. The public doesn't always heed what the press says.

My guess is that nothing much has changed yet, and a socialist is still the top dog of the Democratic ticket.....And a lot of Democrats are not going to be happy about it.

Bloom needs some platform shoes so he doesn't have to look UP at everyone and with $62Billion surely he can afford a pair and Obama was a spoiled childish child:

"Obama days" …………...no wonder he started so many New Wars

It is a little surprising that Democrats didn't learn how much of a losing thing it is to trot out "unsuitable windbags" after the 2016 election debacle. Here they go again with that same old same old kind of thing.

That said, most times when a president's second term is there...... the other party doesn't send in its very best. This time, it seems the Democrats did just that. The early list included a lot of young people I thought would wait until 2024 to make their debut. So now in 2024, even the young up-and-coming Democrats have a loss under their belts thus, are losers right from the start.

Plus, the Democrats still haven't decided whether to go full-blown Socialist Democrat Party or to try to keep the Socialist part unspoken. Democrats have a lot of work to do before they will be viable again. They can just hope they'll be ready with something in 2024 or we might be looking at President Ivanka.

I said the same thing about Trump in 2016. It didn't make one iota of difference in the general. Kasich voters still voted for Trump, just like Biden supporters will vote for Bernie.
That may be the case. However, if we have a general election, and there are no Democrats running, I'm fairly certain the DNC won't be doing handsprings over it.

Bernie is running as a Democrat.
He can call himself that, but he isn't one. He's technically an independent, are more accurately a socialist and not shy about it.

If he wins the nomination, there will be no Democrats in the race. I can't recall that ever being the case before.

He's technically a democrat.
That is incorrect.

He does caucus with the Democrats, but if you bother to look it up, you'll find that he is the longest serving independent in the House. Obviously, that could not be true if he were a Democrat.

Semantics anyway. Bernie's proud to be a Socialist.
