Wow...you're no closer to the truth than
@protectionist or
@Mr. Friscus are.
1. Yes, Israel was established based on Britain relinquishing control of Palestine and the territory was divided between Israel and Jordanian controlled palestine. The partition vote was in 1947.
2. In 1948 Israel was invaded by Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. Thousands of Palestinians fled east and north to avoid being caught between the armies engaged in combat. The armistice resulted in Joran controlling the West bank and Egypt was in control of Gaza.
3. In 1956 Israel joined with Britain and France in attempting to gain control of the Suez canal. Based on condemnation from the UN and the US the Israelis withdrew and returned control to Egypt. Nasser became a hero to the Egyptians...even though the Egyptians got the asses kicked.
4. In 1967 the Egyptians, Jordanians and Syrians were attacked by Israel. It was a surprise attack that nearly drew the US into fighting. The Israelis justified the attack because of the buildup of hostile armies in the Golan and the demand by Egypt that UN peace keeping forces withdraw from the Gaza border with Israel.
5. In 1973 the combined armies of Egypt and Syria conducted a surprise attack on Israel during the Yom Kippur holyday. After two weeks of fighting that again nearly caused a war between the US and USSR...the Arab armies were defeated and Israel annexed Golan. I was in the military then and we were called up to Defcon 3 and called to report to duty stations. Marines rounded us up from every bar on the North Shore of Oahu to report to the Fleet Operations Control Center. I remember it very well.
Hamas created by Mossad? I only see the Muslim Brotherhood as the founders. Hamas is hardly friendly towards Israel.
