Antibody study suggests coronavirus may be far more widespread than previously thought
Non-peer reviewed study from Stanford found virus may be 50 to 85 times more common than official figures indicate

Stanford University just completed a rigorous study which suggests most americans have already been infected with the corona virus. (see link above)
And by implication, that all the workplace shutdowns, job losses, social distancing, and government bailouts are ineffective and unnecessary.
We let politicians ruin our nation for nothing.
If we HAD tested millions, instead of allowing state and local governments to hoard test kits and deny them to the general population, this widespread infection rate would have been discovered quickly. Instead, the news media is reporting that people are still being REFUSED testing. Some show no symptoms, some a variety of symptoms, some recover, some die.
The point being - masks, closing businesses, keeping 6 feet away - this was all worse than simply bad science. These were the outrageous edicts of politicians who thought about their own reelection first (never let a good crisis go to waste), and the public good hardly at all.
I include Trump in this indictment, along with various democrat governors, congresspersons, senators, etc. As a class, they have zero scientific training, and their first instinct is always to give an alarming speech, get their face on the evening news cycle, stampede the gullible, and then foist damaging regulations and rules we aren't allowed to vote on.
We now have another debt crisis bubble related to the corona virus, courtesy of political ineptitude. Just like the student loan debt crisis, the housing crisis of 2008, etc.
This is basically what I've been saying in PJ for over a month - now Stanford University confirms it. Almost everybody has the virus. There's no stopping it, until there's an actual vaccine or cure. Any other action taken by politicians is a waste of money and time. Politicians don't fix the economy, they throw gasoline on a fire, than campaign on the resulting conflagration and casualties.
I didn't vote for Trump in 2016. But those who did expected him to push back against Washington DC politics as usual. In the case of corona virus, he's failed miserably.
