Surprise, Surprise. The lefty elitist snobs at Martha's Vineyard won't house the immigrants.

Governor
Just one more example of how twisted your logic is. How did the city of Martha's Vineyard become my regime?

Abbott and Costello DeSantis screwed the pooch by the attempt to create chaos...instead making the people helping those migrants look like good Christians...
Excuse me? Neither Texas nor Florida asked for those illegal aliens.

That's the work of Joe. And Joe actually sent bus loads of those
illegal aliens to Florida. All Governor DeSantis did was ship them to the more compassionate Martha's Vineyard, where they would be treated humanely.

And Martha's Vineyard shipped them to a military base.

Here's a solution: Finish that wall. Tell the illegal aliens that they will be welcomed into this country but they have to get in line, behind those who are legally waiting their turn.

Simple as that.

All you need to do is change the law on asylum...otherwise, the administration is bound to honor requests for asylum. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

That guy just needs to donate more to the DNC, if ya give a lot of money to the DNC, you can just call ohhhhhhh 124 National Guard guys up and have them all whisked away.....

Membership has its benefits!

Also, one of the people on this board claimed the other day that the Federal Goverment ONLY shipped people from the border randomly around the country when they had family etc. in that area to sponsor them.....

This is of couse totally and completely FALSE.....
So there are two opinions here....yours seems to be that the federal government randomly transports migrants awaiting immigration hearings around the country and just dropped them off. Mine is that they are transported to where there is a sponsor. Can you find any evidence to back you up? Nah.

Liberating people of all ages from immigration detention is central to our mission to abolish immigration detention. Many people currently locked up in immigration detention are ineligible for release simply because they do not have a sponsor.

Unaccompanied Children Released to Sponsors by State

Those who are seeking asylum in the United States are usually detained and then interviewed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to assess their level of flight risk -- under the Trump Administration, few asylum-seekers are granted bond other other release from detention without a "sponsor" on record. Sponsors are U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents who are willing to submit paperwork to ICE to secure an asylum-seeker's release and then to receive an asylum-seeker in their home upon that release.

So now that the people of Martha's Vineyard have responded so kindly to the migrants dropped off, your argument now is that they were not welcome in blue states to saying well....they aren't welcome in the homes of rich people...right?

Abbott and DeSantis are saying they aren't welcome in the USA, much less in someone's home.
One big problem with your theory. The snobs in Mothuz Vineyard keep voting for those that believe in sanctuary cities. Texas and Florida do not...

So you can confirm that every person the Biden Adminstration flew out of Texase etc. was dropped off in a place where they had a sponsor?

After a two-hour ride, the group arrived around 1 a.m. Sunday at the Twin Oaks Academy, a juvenile detention center in the Apalachicola National Forest near Tallahassee, where staffers were waiting to open a gate topped with barbed wire.

Odd place for sponsorship to live? Or any of the facilities these kids are now at on Long Island.....

Accurately stated, DeSantis is responsible for this fiasco, as he stuck them on a plane and sent them there. Further accuracy would be a statement like, although the desantos is responsible for this fiasco, liberals are responsible for the resulting reactionary fiasco
Bullshit. The good people of MV, liberal, conservative and moderate housed, clothed, fed and took care of these people who were dumped off by DeSantis on the sidewalk. Then they contacted immigration officials who found suitable housing and facilities nearby. You are doing just what Trumpers did after those thugs attacked the Capitol and deflecting by saying the attack was BLMs fault. Same tactic. Scumbags Abbott and DeSantis were busted in a kidnapping scheme now their fanboys are trying to blame the evil libs.

No, no such tactic. You dislike the issue being brought into focus. You also have nothing but your trumpie bludgeon. Big deal. Meanwhile, MV brings into focus the fact that the southern states have shouldered the matter for decades and decades. Nobody gives a shit that MV had to exert itself to resolve their concerns with 50 migrants. Let's see what happens when 100, then a thousand and then ten thousand show up.

All this mooing because some posh town was discomfited. Who cares.

Wow...so your link shows that clearly people that do not have sponsors are continuing in detention facilities. In this case at the Twin Oaks academy.

You continue to prove what I've posted and don't even realize it.

I mean really... The border towns are literally being overwhelmed with migrants, with crime, with asylum seekers, with huge influxes of humanity.

The crazed are like..
A. Out of sight out of mind. How dare you bring it to our attention
B. No no we don't want to enforce our legal immigration policies, the hell with everybody waiting to turn, as long as they're coming whichever way they please and they're out of sight and out of mind, we don't really care until an election year comes around
C. Oh my gawd... Did you see how 50 migrants came to a posh enclave up in the Northeast? Let's make a huge deal out of it and pretend that helping 50 migrants is somehow an example of a solution while at the same time ignoring the hundreds of thousands if not millions down in the South that are overwhelming that region.

Not just that the town was inconvenienced. The migrants were used in a blatant attempt to create chaos. How is that helpful or constructive?
Abbott and DeSantis could have been considerate of both the migrants and the towns where they were being sent.

Did the attempted plan to create a mess make DeSantis look better? Not to me.

Here's what I consider to be a fair question:

If the Republicans are big meanies for bussing the immigrants all the way up to Martha's Vineyard, why aren't the residents there equally vilified by the same folks for shipping them out-of-town?

Is the mass influx, unabated, into southern regions chaotic? It is equally not helpful or constructive to pretend it's not chaotic there. Which I think is the point

There you have it - It's all in the adjectives.

Migrants + Marth's Vinyard = "Creating Chaos".

Leaving them far, far away in Texas, however....Different.

That's the point I have been trying to make, places like Del Rio with 10k Haitians living under a bridge but we are supposed to be horrified that MV can't take care of 50 people (who didn't actually because they called the National Guard)...... no regard for the people who live and work in Del Rio not to mention the 10k human beings being forced to live under a bridge.....Federal Goverment can drop these people off anywhere they want, and not even notify local authorities most the time........

The Double standard is infuriating and nauseating and they have been exposed.

Aren’t the border counties the MOST welcoming of immigration in the country? Isn’t almost all the hysteria coming from remote areas with few immigrants?

The former: transporting people through treacherous fraudulent inducements, without warning, to a place without the resources to provide them with shelter.
The latter: openly transporting people with their consent to a facility that has stepped up to meet their needs.
