The Boss took no prisoners in explaining his decision:
To my mind, it’s an attempt by people who cannot stand the progress our country has made in recognizing the human rights of all of our citizens to overturn that progress. Right now, there are many groups, businesses, and individuals in North Carolina working to oppose and overcome these negative developments. Taking all of this into account, I feel that this is a time for me and the band to show solidarity for those freedom fighters. As a result, and with deepest apologies to our dedicated fans in Greensboro, we have canceled our show scheduled for Sunday, April 10th. Some things are more important than a rock show and this fight against prejudice and bigotry — which is happening as I write — is one of them.

Many on the right were quite congratulatory when Beretta decided to open a plant outside Maryland because of Maryland's gun laws.

They do not seem as congratulatory when a "conservative" law has artists cancel concerts and companies relocate elsewhere due to laws that allow such discrimination. Go figure.

this North Carolina governor must be the only Republican in America who doesn't care about the business climate or the threats from businesses to pull out of their state. his anti-gay passion rules his thinking........makes one wonder why.

I wouldn't want someone other than a natural woman to go into the Womens bathroom in a public place when my young daughter was in there. Hell...I don't want one coming in when I'm in there! How about a bathroom put in JUST for Trans, Gays, Lesbians? Why should I have to be uncomfortable because they want it their way? Why are people like you persecuting ME because of my beliefs?
