the genesis of civilization

Physics tell us that light is not light until it reaches life. Up until then, it is this minute range of the electromagnetic wave spectrum; quite invisible and illuminating nothing.

Biology tells us that chromosomes - although they are incredibly complex chains of chemicals and perfectly engineered - are nothing more than strains of chemicals unless they are alive. They all die in time. But while they live, Chromosomes build the cell, react to their environment, nurture the cell, fight off enemies, live and die just as organisms do, they retain memories, they perform complex functions, they even reproduce... but whether by force or old age, they all die sooner or later, and once they die, once that spirit of life is gone out of them... just chemicals.

There's no love lost between rocks. Love only happens when life forces work in harmony with each other.

God is light, life, and love, when you look at light, life, or love... you are looking at God. You are looking at God's spirit in action. That's what light, life, and love are; God's spirit moving upon the waters, producing a reflection of himself.
I just want to recapture that bit of history recorded on the sea floor of the Mediterranean. Think what it means. A massive civilization that was certainly built on dry ground, now submersed on the sea shelves of Greece, Phoenicia, and Egypt. What does it mean? Was this civilization built before the Younger Dryas period? Prior to 12,000 years ago? Look at the architecture. It is classical Greek, it could belong to the Hellenistic period, if we didn't know there was water there at that time. What does it mean?

Think about it, because it tells us something incredibly large about our history and who we are as a species.

It tells us that somehow, inexplicably, the Great Sea as it used to be called, was not that great, it was more like a Great Lake. And that's why that body of water has so much salt in it. The Nile river dumped into it, European rivers dumped into it, and like the Salt Sea, it just retained all that salt. And mankind built a great civilization all around its shores, and the name of it all, was Atlantis.

The flood recorded in the bible was very much the filling up of the Great Lake. Scientists tell us that mean sea level rose 400 feet. But that water was still sealed off from Atlantis. Spain and Morocco had not yet pulled apart. Then something happened. And the Great Lake filled in and became the Great Sea. And the isthmus of Gibraltar was opened and suddenly we had seven seas but no more Atlantis.

It is more than a myth. It is our collective history, our lost past, and it is why we don't know who we are. We were made in the image and likeness of God, we are incredibly talented and gifted, yet we have forgotten that we are God's offspring, we go searching in scientific labs for the answer, we go searching in the heavens for the answer, we try every mystical meditation and rummage through all the shamans on earth, and yet, still we wonder, who the hell we are.

Psalm 82:
5
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Trying to post with my phone in bed...
Roughly 12,000 years ago we was struck by a small moon on the polar ice cap. Oceans mean sea level rose 400 feet.
Then around 9000 years ago the Mediterranean and Black seas filled in with water. They were seperate lakes before then. Deepest spot in the Bosporus Strait is 360 feet... even that spot was 40 feet above sea level before the flood.
All the civilization around those two ancient lakes would have been lost. Egyptians retreated south into Nubia. Noah started over in a plain to the south of the Black Sea. Europe was emptied out... then reseeded from the east. All of western Africa was washed away into the Atlantic Ocean. The Sahara formed. God only knows how far the continents moved apart.
Mankind may have lived here a billion years. We don't know, we get lost trying to look back 10,000 years. Our common history is a giant jigsaw puzzle that no one can solve.
About that verse that Jesus quoted in John chapter 10...
the foundations of the world were the civilizations that were lost to the flood... gone with them went our understanding of who we are.

So, here we go, skip the first 4 1/2 minutes homage to his sponsor, and watch this whole video. My idea of the "fountains of the deep" (the original ice caps) breaking apart because they were struck on the edge by a small moon that exploded into half a million meteorites, warming the earth and raising sea levels 400 feet or more... it is all in there.
