The government has already decided to let some of us die...

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.
That is not in dispute. By not imposing a complete lock down order and enforcing it, they permitted a large number of us to contract the virus (and die). So what we are arguing over is how many (and who) the government is choosing to mark for "extermination."

So who thinks that is a good idea? The government choosing who lives and who dies (so to speak). The government picking winners and losers. Which, as I observed this morning, extends to workers. I went to the grocery store and I know the clerks pretty well and I feel bad for them - they are showing up and working each day, risking their lives, while the rest of us are basically on a paid vacation. That's profoundly unfair to these working class folks. Same goes for the front line healthcare workers, and the supply chain. As this goes on, these people are going to start resenting the government's "winners" and recriminations will start to appear. Furthermore those of us who are stuck at home under the thumb of these tin pot authoritarians are going to start getting antsy (is that a real term or just something my dad made up to describe me when I was being impatient?). And that will start leading to increasing violent encounters. Depression, suicides, murders, child abuse, theft, vandalism.

Oh, and don't forget to enjoy the decline...

1. 197 out of 200 survive.
2. That’s capitalist “freedom” for you.

Jesus Christ, Boomers are weak. Their parents had to fight Hitler, and they don't even have the mental strength to sit on their couch for a couple months. What a bunch of pansies.

The boomers are all on social security, and looking death in the eyes. It won'y be the boomers committing suicide. That's the province of young middle aged people faced with a lifetime of hardship.
