The weaponizing of gov't departments.

There are more reports of the gov't raiding homes and seemingly more arrests. A lot of those are for financial things. Well we know that the gov't is in the process of hiring 87,000 more IRS agents. Nothing to worry about, right?

Why did the IRS buy 5,000,000 rounds of ammo?
Jun 25, 2022In just the last few months, the Internal Revenue Service has bought almost 5,000,000 rounds of small arms ammunition — spending almost $700,000 in the process. The obvious question is why would a bunch of bean counters who spend their days staring at computer screens need to stock up on millions of rounds of ammo?

It's odd. Nobody has an answer to why the IRS bought 5 million rounds... but there are a few theories.........

The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385, original at 20 Stat. 152) signed on June 18, 1878, by President Rutherford B. Hayes which limits the powers of the federal government in the use of federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies within the United States.

Law says nothing about the Treasury Department, if you wanted to suppress the American people through force, maybe you buy 5 million rounds of ammo for the IRS. I mean.... these are the guys who got Capone......

just food for thought....

Enjoy the collapse.

If the IRS was to buy any amount of ammo, I don' think that they would make it so obvious- wouldn't you think?

This, my friends, is a classic example of those that push conspiracy theories.

You think the IRS is NOT a part of the federal government

US Marshals were told not to arrest protesters at Supreme Court justices' homes 'unless absolutely necessary' (msn.com)

If you were to follow actual news instead of just talking points you would know that the gov't was purchasing so much ammo a couple of years ago that regular gun owners were having a difficult time getting any. That is not a 'conspiracy' theory, it's reality.

Do some research for a change.

That is pretty much what they spend every year....

The $725,000 the division spent this year on ammunition, much of which is used for agents’ firearms training, is only slightly more than was spent in recent years and less than was spent a decade ago. There is no evidence this continued tradition of spending by the IRS has any connection to Biden’s positions on taxes and gun restrictions.

We rate this claim False.

Very interesting. Hope there's nothing ominous about their collections. It still seems odd for parts of the IRS to be armed, no matter how many years it's been going on.

In the era of "emerging AI omniscience", the federal bureaucracy hires tens of thousands of more drones.

this is not about effective enforcement of the tax laws. it's a jobs program.

I like how they do it in Cuba. They store the weapons in neighborhood armories, and the elected leader of the neighborhood Committee for Defense of the Revolution determines when the weapons will be distributed to the militia and when police will be armed and when police will be permitted to make arrests.
