The working class position: not one penny for imperialist war

EatTheRich

President
The working class has taken this principled position, opposed to crossing the class divide to turn our backs on our fellow workers in other countries to line up behind the national bourgeoisie, since the dawn of the imperialist epoch.

The plea of humanitarian intervention—The Liberal Defence of Murder as per Richard Seymour’s excellent book—was rejected by the working class movement of this country not only where grossly inapplicable, as with intervention on behalf of the brutal dictatorships in Seoul and Saigon, but also in cases (Spanish-Cuban-American War, Roosevelt’s war with the Axis, Iraq Wars, Yugoslav Wars, wars with the Taliban and ISIS) where the official enemy was indeed behaving monstrously.

The working class has always contended that the way forward for humanity was a coordinated proletarian advance against all exploiters, taking advantage of their rivalries for tactical advantage to be sure, but never compromising its independence by obediently marching to the patriotic drumbeat.

Not one penny! You don’t fight Russian (Iraqi, Spanish, etc.) barbarity with American barbarity.
