I believe I posted a week or so before the election that the Democrats were going to come out of it smelling like a rose, actually. The year and 10 months started on 1/20/2021. You really want me to go back and bump all those old posts/threads?
I felt good about the Senate and had a pretty good handle on the state houses. I didn't keep up enough with all the House races to have a feel for it. Who the hell has time for that?I believe I posted a week or so before the election that the Democrats were going to come out of it smelling like a rose, actually.
Not one Democrat nor a single Republican has any hope of pulling a rabbit out of the hat. Even pushing his clot shot a dufus like Trump is the only hope we had and now that is over. Fine, I too will be relieved of his nastiness that fully revealed Democrat and RINO nastiness. The electorate keeps choosing to see the emperor's new clothes that's for sure. How would keeping Trump be considered pragmatic?

Now that there is no saving grace apparently...
... American's had to keep up the delusion that nuclear war, open borders, a vaccine disaster, inflation, $30T debt, you know the litany.... aren't there. Just close your eyes, click your ruby red slippers and wish yourself home. ha ha If we get out of this alive it will have been a satanic...www.politicaljack.com
Which is why you vote the way you do. You don't know what anything means.I have no idea what any of that means.
No, you are failing to make a coherent argument. Just some garbled nonsense.Which is why you vote the way you do. You don't know what anything means.

PossiblyIs that poll any better than the Red Wave polls?
I say our Country is a mess. Inflation, border crisis, crime...just to name a few. I would like nothing better thank to see our Country get in the right track. The two sides have to work together for any progress. Biden does not seem very interested in that scenarioApproval ratings are almost always driven by economic issues TB. Inflation, gas prices etc. have driven Biden’s approval ratings down over his first two years in office. Both Clinton and Obama’s approval ratings were at low points at this time in their first terms. Both were overwhelmingly elected to second terms and left office with very high approval ratings.
Biden, his team and his allies in Congress have over two years to get things moving in the right direction. Coming into office Biden’s team was faced with a huge pandemic, worldwide supply chain problems, huge GDP decrease, high unemployment as a direct result of the pandemic and then the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Under heavy fire from the press, the opposition party and these serious economic issues Biden and his team appear to be steadily moving forward to ease or solve these problems and get us back on the right track.
Since President Biden was elected to a four year term and will most likely be POTUS until at least January 20, 2025, my hope is that he and his team along with support from both Democrats and Republicans in Congress will be highly successful in these next two years and beyond. That’s the right vision for America in my book. What say you?

Biden has always had a reputation for working across the aisle with his colleagues. Before he ran for President several Senators from the GOP we’re praising him as a great person and a man who could be trusted….(Lindsay Graham, John McCain, Mitch McConnell and several others).I say our Country is a mess. You damn sure trust politicians more more than I doBiden has always had a reputation for working across the aisle with his colleagues. There is no doubt in my mind that President Biden is VERY interested in working with members of the GOP Congress and Senate along with the Dems to pass bipartisan legislation that he believes will benefit Americans of all political persuasions at his point. He’d be crazy not to want that in his present situation.
The GOP congress will either have a tiny margin in the House or none as it stands now and it looks like the Democrats will control the Senate until 2025. The only way EITHER party can get anything positive passed is by working together. Biden is a guy who has been around Congress and The White House for over 40 years and he knows this very well.
I know that you and many who have been trashing him ever since it became apparent that he was going to be the one to challenge Trump in 2020 think he is a dumb idiot who doesn’t even know where he is or what he is doing. This narrative has been constantly pumped out by the right wing media. I disagree with their narrative regarding Biden and think you and many others are underestimating him in several ways.
Under very tough circumstances and with absolutely NO cooperation from the outgoing administration, what I have observed is a guy who came in and calmly proceeded to try hard to deliver on what he promised to do during his campaign. Since he came in, one serious problem after another have been handed to him.
The press has been very tough on him and instead of crying and calling them names he and his team have stayed the course and are doing their best to turn it around. He was elected to a term of four years and he is not even half way through that. Since he is our only President and will most likely be there until 2025, I wish him well and hope he has a 55% or higher approval rating by the time the next election comes around.
