The unedited tape by an amateur videographer made it clear that it was police brutality. At 0:10 of the video you can see a cop holding the door open for the protesters to enter. At 0:22 - 0:27, you can see about 5 cops standing in the hallway, ushering protesters in, allowing protesters to enter the capital building's interior, and climb the stairs.
