Some of those kids are just toddlers. Instead of spending much time and money trying to find their relatives we aught to simply adopt them out. There are lots of families out there who would love to have children.
When parents are abusive we put kids in foster care and then give them a social security # so they totally belong to their new family. Parents who send those kids out could surely be considered abusive in light of the terrible things that happen to so many of them.
Maybe we would have a lot less unaccompanied children to deal with if their parents knew they would never get to see them again. That would make for less deaths along the way too.
