Trump admits to obstructing justice by firing Comey

I am starting to see why he was picked.
He's actually a Republican at heart.
Yup. That’s why Obama picked him to replace Scalia - he’s moderate to conservative, and Obama thought Moscow Mitch couldn’t reject Garland. So much for that - Mitch laid the Constitution out on the floor and pissed all over it.

We’ll at least Garland has proven himself an absolute rabid partisan. Mitch made a good call not putting that man on the SC. He’s running the DOJ like a Democratic PAC.

He’s a partisan because he doesn’t indict Trump?

That was truly idiotic.

No. He’s a partisan because he went after parents who had the audacity to confront their local school boards.
He’s a partisan because he sued Texas for gerrymandering while allowing blue Illinois and Maryland to do the same without question.
He’s a partisan hack because he is an activist for CRT while it makes his family money.

Of course I know better. Just like you know better. There was never going to be any charges in the very phony Russia collusion hoax. No one in any High office was “toast” because there was never proof of wrongdoing nor any Crime committed.
This scandal fueled by a phony dossier was never valid and I’m sure even Comey knew it.
Hacking the DNC system was a crime.

And again, confronted with reality, you resort to absurd lies to try to make your case. Lies having nothing to do with the issue - Garland’s refusal thus far to indict Trump for his textbook obstruction of justice. He’s far from a Dem hack, although the opposite may be true.

All that nonsense and two bucks get you on a bus. Not much else. Your failed witch hunts worked in getting Trump tarnished so he could lose the COVID-tainted election. You can’t expect more. And the next election will be a rout, enjoy the last year of Dem majority for awhile. Too many people are tired of just this type of Boy who Cried Wolf nonsense.

Jeez, you love using the term “witch hunts.” Wherever did you get that idea?

;-)

I actually agree with you about the next elections. The GOP is working 24/7 throughout the nation to overcome the will of the voters through things like racist gerrymandering, selective voter suppression laws, appointment of Trump stooges in state election official slots, changing the laws about how ballots are counted and accepted, etc. if Congress does not pass a comprehensive voting rights law ASAP, the will of the people will count no more, and we will have permanent GOP rule. Authoritarianism. Minority rule. The nation as it was founded will be dead.

Yes, anyone, parents or not, who make terrorist threats to school boards can expect to be prosecuted. Yes, racial gerrymandering is illegal while political gerrymanders not intended to give one race an advantage are not. Yes, there are all kinds of crazy made-up conspiracies about CRT circulating on the wacky right.

Comey wasn't an "investigator" at all. He was a Director of the FBI, and a quite incompetent one at that. Trump was well within his rights to terminate him, as head of the Executive Branch. He mishandled several sensitive election related situations and did nothing to address the cabal that was uncovered with agents plotting against Trump prior to his election. There was no evidence of collusion with Russia but Comey did nothing to clarify this as it seems he was politically involved with undermining Trump. There was no reason to keep such a lackluster incompetent in the role.
The Mueller Report proved Trump was not guilty of any conspiracy to rig the election and did the right thing by firing Comey.

Oh, yeah?
He was investigating Hillary Clinton.....at the same time.

As AG perhaps Garland knows a Nothingburger when he sees it.
You NEVER do.
You’re not paid to be objective or realistic. You’re just a talking points spouting machine.

He says it not once, but twice - he fired Comey because he was investigating him, and he admits that he would have been in a lot of trouble if Comey was allowed to proceed.

BTW, there’s six months left on the statute of limitations. Wake up Merrick Garland. Indict that lying toad!

Had Republicans been the kind of men they were back in the days of Nixon, they would've held Trump to account. Not so today.
