U.S. Economy roaring back. Sorry, snowflakes.

It's called an analogy. Politically speaking- hanging up the "Mission accomplished" sign was disastrous for Bush. Now Right-wingers are effectively hanging up the "mission accomplished" sign by claiming the economy is roaring back when it is still obviously in the shitter will have similar political consequences.
lol.

one dude expresses an opinion in a posting in the ether... and you parallel it to the Mission Accomplished sign..

both... the over extrapolation on your part. and on Bush's part...are the apple to apple.

meanwhile.. in the world of reality.. the economy has years to go..

but, last month was a good month as far as adding jobs goes.

Which is GOOD... given peoplel need to work. and not have stuff handed to them...

I think all rational people see this plainly.

Trump inherited record job creation and a record economic boom. Obama inherited the worst economy in decades and left Trump a much better one.

well, no. clearly Trump now stands alone in jobs created in a month.

meanwhile... if Bush hadnt done TARP and put it forward... O wouldnt have been set on the path he had..

now gov has to figure how to take the golden egg ($600) from the people so they will return to work, they talking of paying a $bonus if they will return to work!

Majority making more on unemployment than working 40

There is very much an analogy to be to made the politics of both situations.

The Iraq War had years to go after they hung up the "Mission accomplished" sign. Hence the analogy.

The gains in the economy are untenable as long as the virus is raging. More people going back to work is making the virus worse which will inevitably lead to another shutdown. Hopefully they shut down hard enough to extinguish the virus like China and most of Europe did.

I didn't think you would.
I'm pretty sure you know those are trend lines, what your missing is their steepness represents momentum and there's only 3+ months to go. Barring another political lockup of workers and orders to shut down businesses in the interim, the forecast should be fairly accurate.

And, with the law and order factor which is never favorable to Democrats....you know these are peaceful protests.....it could be a blowout.

it should be self evident that that (a full shut down) is untenable. but, we will likely have to learn the hard way....any way you slice it.

The half-assed shut downs are the problem. The virus continues to spread because people aren't actually quarantining, then we all have to do it all over again. It would be better for the economy to shut down completely long enough to extinguish the virus transmission than these half-assed repeating shutdowns which do neither squlech the virus nor help the economy.
China did it hard and fast and now they are on the road to recovery. The country needs to shut down with the vigor that China did.

You mean when Joe said closing the border was xenophobic, or when China didn't tell anyone about the virus?
