USA today fact checks lack of replenishment of n95 masks in national stockpile

Mick

Nope. You need 60 senators to pass a bill. You’re welcome.

And, needless to say, your dodge is noted.

You’re such a mess. You know that, right?
There were still no bills anywhere that was going to allocate funds to the purchasing of more n95 masks for national stockpile. They stopped bills that didn't exist now? ROFL

Obama was scum.

Sad, still lying:

"ProPublica reported on April 3 that congressional budget battles in the early years of the Obama administration contributed to stockpile shortages. But the article notes available funds were used not to replenish masks"

Ouch. The entire thing you are whining about was not about funds that were going to be allocated for this anyways. There is squarely on the Kenyan freak. Period.

Oblammo was busy. Trying to keep his man happy, wiretapping the press, and using the IRS to go after private citizens.

But the guys in the majority capitulated to the guys in the minority on the bill instead of vice versa? And the guy in the WH signed it anyways? ROFL. You are one DUPED sheep.
You’re resorting to the babbling gambit now.

As you must.

And they rammed Obamacare through with zero GOP votes in both the House and Senate during that short period. Some House Democrats voted against it. The only time in history that a major bill was passed with no opposing party support with some of the sponsoring party jumping ship. A bill that has significantly reduced federal health care funding because it has allocated resources to ACA. Yeah, that was a winner.
A law so “bad” that the GOP failed to repeal it.

;-)

With the GOP still trying to kill the ACA it went from better than nothing to nothing.

How many people now have no healthcare during this pandemic thanks to the efforts of Republicans ? Trump only yesterday said he would allow people to enroll in the ACA. Before that he was blocking people from getting insurance through the ACA.

You GOP'ers really looked out for the people when you gained full control of the govt.

The linked article fully describes the situation. But you’re still clueless.

That was amazing. Trump refused to open the ACA exchanges so people could buy their own insurance, and instead proposes a $100 billion bill so the feds pay for it. Basically a $100 billion gift to insurance companies, paid for by taxpayers.

The usual Trump/GOP madness.

Yeah because the funds were mostly used to keep US vaccine manufacturers in business.

You know that stuff we are desperately putting our hopes into to end this pandemic.

And the article OP linked called out your article by explaining how it didn't describe the specific issue at hand but danced around it. Facts suck for lefty, huh?
It’s not “my article.” The OP hotlinks it.

You can’t get a damn thing right.

Watch it now. If you mention out how screwed up their priorities are they will accuse you of being "evil" when you point out that facts.

Opposition to Dear Leader Trump cannot be tolerated. He does amazing things for the nation, as witnessed by the absolutely devastating catastrophe we are trying to survive.

I don’t know how you missed it, but Obama and Democrats in Congress rolled over for the Republicans just about every chance they got. Giving the Republicans everything they want is one of the things the Democratic Party does best ... it’s what they (and the Republicans) call “bipartisanship.”

It doesn't matter what they for. The fact is the funds were not for more masks. Obama used them up and never replaced them. America is suffering as result. What is about that FACT that you can't grasp?

You mean the young and healthy who were able to opt out and put food on their table instead of subsidizing lazy Democrats? Yeah, those were the ones. The ones who are the least likely to have any use for insurance during this pandemic. But all the healthcare funding that was diverted away in order to pay for ACA would have been invaluable at this point. Maybe we'd have had hats and gloves and ventilators and not have 16 NY hospitals that had to shutter their doors because of plummeting reimbursement rates.

It’s almost like the private-hospital model is no longer viable.

Yeah, because big government doesn't poison and destroy just about everything they try to meddle with. Reimbursement rates in the shitter.
A problem you could solve by throwing money at it. Or by using the economies of scale and savings involved in running the hospital system under a single authority without a profit motive.
