I grew up in, and still live in, the land of Boeing. I can still remember my first sighting of a 747 flying overhead. It was 1969 and I was 14 years old! I also remember my first sighting of a 1969 Chevelle. The former hasn't evolved quite so much, as the latter!I'm dubious...technology tends to plateau out. Look at space travel. Nothing really "new" since the Shuttle and the Chinese are flying a knock-off of the Soyuz (Shenzhou) which was designed in the late 60s. Some better materials, engine designs, but nothing radically new like nuclear drives or large-scale ion drives.
