What, precisely, did Trump not do that should have been done?

Did he use faulty models to project massive numbers of dead that drove horrendous decision making and led to the implementation of draconian (and unnecessary) proscribed behavior patterns? No, that would be the left wing technocrats and the democrats who saw this virus as an opportunity to seize authoritarian powers that they have no legal right to assume.

Did he put the entire nation to house arrest and place millions of vulnerable children at the mercy of abusive adults without the benefit of teacher interactions to protect them? No that would be the democrats (again).

Did he close down millions of businesses and throw tens of millions into unemployment, driving them into depression and the throes of drug and alcohol abuse? No, that would be the democrats (again).

Did he require nursing homes to accept covid-19 patients, thereby leading to tens of thousands of deaths of the least able to fend for themselves, while leaving the rest vulnerable to unchecked elder abuse? No, that would be the democrats (again).

Did he withhold requested aid to the worst stricken states? No, he sent field and navy hospitals which sat largely vacant throughout.

Did he fail to provide ventilators to the worst hit states? No, he provided them and they, too were unused.

Did he stand in the way of potentially helpful medical treatments? No, that would be the left that hectors anyone who suggests the dying should be given a chance to try them.

You people really have a lot of nerve complaining about Trump's behavior in response to the coronavirus epidemic.
Trump recommended the lockdown measures. States begged him for ventilators and were denied when they needed them most, forcing them to resort to backup measures like sending patients to nursing homes.

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.

Which states ran out of ventilator capacity?

Hey, why not? Trump pretends the virus crisis is behind us. Might as well goof off at the golf course, right?

THWACK! Fore!

And the millions others who went golfing as well ? Most states- courses didn't close.

Look, you will complain about anything Trump. This is why no one takes you seriously.

You are PJ's favorite punching bag. remember that.

So you want the "scientists" or the "democrats" to tell him what to do. Nice to see you finally acknowledge how incompetent he is. He had all the information available about the pandemic. You want to give him credit for shutting off travel from China but a complete pass on not doing so for Europe. Typical supporter of Donald: he gets credit for everything, responsibility for nothing.

hell, we liberals bitched when he shut down travel from China.

Imagine the size diaper you would have filled if he banned all travel- from anywhere.

It would have been massive.

“Famously, on the campaign trail in 2016 he told supporters: “I’m going to be working for you. I’m not going to have time to go play golf.”

Since taking office, though, Trump has played more than 200 times. He last teed off in Florida on 8 March, when the coronavirus outbreak was gathering pace.

When Barack Obama was president, Trump often criticised him for the amount of time he spent on the fairways. On Saturday, even as Trump travelled to his course in Virginia, a tweet from October 2014 was much remarked upon.

It said: “President Obama has a major meeting on the NYC Ebola outbreak, with people flying in from all over the country, but decided to play golf!”

The swine-in-chief.

Why are you calling Obabba a swine.?

Or is your outrage selective.

Well if that's all you can come up with - something he failed to do when nobody else thought it should be done - he must be doing a heck of a lot right.

Nothing that anyone else has done excuses or mitigates or lessens the epic disaster of Donald's handling of this pandemic, as much as you'd like to change the subject to anybody else.
Why? There's plenty of screw ups and blame to be distributed. Why is Trump the only one we can point to?

Trump said we're in a war against COVID, yet as president he did pretty much zip.

No federalization of the supply chain.
No national testing program.
No national closure and reopening standards.
No effort to lead the global response.
The problem isn’t that Trump’s COVID response has been flawed.
The problem is he’s mounted NO NATIONAL RESPONSE AT ALL.

Chris Murphy ? LOL Hang on- have to laugh at that imbecile for a while.

Anyway- logically- You can't have a 'national' response- where some places are heavily effected- and some aren't effected at all.

That's the reality- and not a liberal emotional hand wringing crying response.

Educated people knew this -and having the States take care of it on an individual basis is the wise and Constitutional way to do it.

When Trump was warned about the coming pandemic in January, he should've set out to develop a national response. Instead, he ignored it for 6 weeks.
He failed....big time.

Trump told Americans a bunch of lies, played golf, and ran MAGA hate rallies.

So here we are.

That infection rates continued to drop after the lockdowns were lifted, suggests, on the contrary, that they were very effective. They were implemented, of course, by Republican and Democratic governors following the advice of the White House.

Then why did your King threaten funding to states who will not comply with his church orders/ mail in ballot stoppage - he shouldn't be interfering with states decisions - your own words!! But yet you support his actions here hourly ? So is the base not educated when they support his church / ballot degrees - must be since you stated that - thanks for getting that out there for the archives !

He's where the buck stops. Just like with every other president. Everyone is under his watch. That's what he signed up for.

What we should do after this is all over is compile lessons learned, not just from here but globally, so we have a better idea what to do next time.

None (yet), as it turns out. But the anticipation of running out drove them to take measures they would not otherwise have taken, which cost lives.
$21million hospital rapidly put up in Brookland and not ONE patient did it receive before being torn down...…………….where's the shortages?

Ventilators have been killing people, lungs didn't need Pressure, lungs needed Oxygen

Seaarch if any doubt
