What's it going to be when Impeachment fails?

Bugsy McGurk

President
They NEVER gave him a chance to even sit down with them and discuss any issues as they had made up their minds before they even gave him a chance. The Dem's true colors came shining through when they decided to boycott his Presidency from day ONE.
Hello? The GOP controlled both houses of Congress during Trump’s first two years. But here you are whining about the Dems.

huh?

so, you're saying..he could had voiced support for it. the incensed would have attended his inauguration, all would have been cool... no trial, no nuthin?>
Yes, if he became a policy ally of the democrats his fortunes would have been different.
M4A isn't the policy position he could adopt to make friends across the aisle. He could drop the whole "build-the-wall" schtick, he could repeal the tax cuts, and reregulate businesses are some more examples.

Does not change the FACT that the Dem's were unwilling to acknowledge or work with the President of the United States from day one. I am not whining, just stating facts.

But what does building the wall have to do with Medicare for all? Make your mind up. You stated they would have worked with and supported Trump if he had been for Medicare for all and now, you are bringing in other issues. So, basically you are saying if Trump had agreed with and supported EVERY item the Dem's wanted...all would be well. LOL

Yes, if he wanted to make friends across the aisle, he would need to support their policy positions.

i'm sorry...i dont follow.

i think you are saying...because trump did not voice support for the lefts policy positions..that is a valid reason to impeach him....
No, I am saying it was super-dumb of Trump to abuse his power and obstruct congress when they were elected specifically to be hostile to Trump.

again..you are affirming.. these 'elected'... you're saying they are one-noted persons hell bent on hostility... simply because trump does not hold their policy views?

feels like communism

They were elected to hold Trump accountable. Trump was just dumb enough to do something where accountability entails impeachment.
simply because trump does not hold their policy views?
That is merely an example of how Trump could engender some good will. He doesn't want to engender any good will. His entire political strategy is based on divisiness. He finds wedge issues and take a sledge hammer to them. If he can't find one, then he will make himself one.
feels like communism
Did it feel like communism when Mitch McConnell said, "“The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”?

Nutty Cortez

Dummy (D) NY
That's nonsense. Republicans fielded candidates in every district. The voters chose Democrats were better candidates. Central to their superior candidacies was the democratic platform of holding Trump accountable.

It's true, actually.

It happens every mid term. Oblammo got decimated every time- worse than trump.

Actually it's Executive Privilege.
No, Mulvaney, and Bolton are going to claiming that Trump has "absolute immunity" and can extend it to his aids.
https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2019-10-28/what-absolute-immunity-is-and-why-trump-says-his-advisers-have-it
And going through the courts.
This part is true.
All legal. All in the Constitution.
The "legal" argument is transparently bullsh*t. And sure to fail.
