But weren't the Republicans in the senate blocking Dem house bills using the filibuster all during the time that the Tparty was asking where are the jobs ?

The answer is YES THEY WERE.

Nope, I disagree.

My minimum wage job was quite sufficient to buy a house (mortgage paid off next year), car, computer, cell phone, and live comfortably, go out regularly, and even smoke (a costly habit). Granted, nothing fancy....it was minimum wage. Could I support a family? Probably not....but you did say "ONE person". Compared to most westerners, sure, I'm poor. Compared to most of the world...I'm wealthy. Either way, minimum wage, if anything is too HIGH. I shouldn't be able to afford all these luxuries at minimum wage while other people are homeless & starving.
