Which of the following corona virus warnings is complete BS?

I started out this morning collecting virus related hashtags. Then realized I could be more dangerous to the government by simply repeating all their own virus advice - ALL of it - disseminated over the past couple of weeks by politicians, health experts, and fredo-style news readers. The following are all real (some paraphrased for brevity), but please weigh in and tell me if any are actually "true" . .

1. The most reliable symptom is sneezing and coughing.
2. Wearing a face mask will protect you if someone sneezes within 6 feet of you
3 . the actual distance a corona virus can travel after a sneeze is 27 feet, not 6 feet.
4. The first symptom is diarreah
5. If you've lost your sense of smell or taste, you're already infected
6. You're likely to gain weigh while sheltering in place
7. We need to have a complete shutdown for 2 weeks.
8. Make that until June 1st
9. We're postponing the democrat convention for at least a month.
10. It might be safer to vote online
11. Closing schools but leaving daycare centers open is the right approach
12. We have to close public parks because too many people are using them
13. It's more dangerous to be in a room with 10 people than a grocery store with a hundred people
14. Stock up on toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and dried pasta
15. Your public water supply is safe
16. Catching corona virus is like a psychedelic trip (hats off to fredo!!)
17. most people will never realize their infected
18. we have plenty of test kits, but we're saving most of them, just in case
19. we've stopped testing people. we can tell if you're infecte, just from the coughing and fever
20. the corona virus is new, a single "novel" agent which evolved from bats or pangolins or something.
21. there are two distinct corona viruses
22. now there are 8. that's why "cured" people are getting it again.
23. please donate blood
24. please do NOT donate blood
25. 250,000 americans will die
26. there have been zero deaths in china over the past week (since reporters for the NYT, WaPo, and WSJ were expelled)
27. More testing of americans would prevent deaths, even though we don't plan on hospitalizing people with mild to non existent symptoms. the delay in testing by the Trump administration is a crime against humanity.
28. Religious services need to shut down, to prevent the spread
29. Liquor stores and pot dispensaries should remain open, as essential public services
30. you need to disinfect your cell phone daily. don't lend or borrow a cell phone.
31. sharing a public restroom is probably okay.
32. the further away from the coasts you get, the better your chances
33. Delaware has instructed its police to pull over and "talk to" drivers with out of state tags (it doesn't say "arrest", or what they are suppose to talk about. maybe where to find toilet paper?)
34. It's a good time to raise gas taxes, since gasoline prices are so low, and people shouldn't be driving anyway
35. Amazon drivers are heroes
36. the virus cannot survive more than ( 1 hour, 1 day, 17 days) on surfaces like countertops.
40. Using the new municipal or state virus hotline/website to inform on neighbors behaving recklessly will save lives
41. We need to release prisoners to keep them from catching the virus and dying.
42. In DC you can be fined, $5,000, or sent to jail for 90 days, for not socially distancing far enough
43. the common cold virus is also a corona-style virus. it doesn't kill us because we've been exposed to it for generations.
44. there is no cure for the common cold
45. Iran and North Korea have both received "secret warnings" not to attack while we're battling the virus, but we need to keep our guard up
46. An entire aircraft carrier is infected and offline because of the virus
47. Don't go to the beach. Even though heat and sunlight are the enemies of viruses and germs.
48. you can get corona virus from a cat. cats can give it to each other. but please don't kill your cats, or neighbors cats.
49. Smoking or vaping while sick with corona virus is not recommended
50. Single payer health coverage would lower costs, and have prevented corona virus from being this severe.

Photo quiz - today's top photo is from what film dealing with infectious agents, and our government's inability to control it?

I'm guessing "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".

In truth, no one had any idea what this thing was. Reports out of China were nothing but fiction, and we really didn't have much to go on until it got here. That being said, the press completely ran off the rails once they decided to even report on the virus at all. Impeachment was all the rage until it wasn't, then, suddenly, it was hair on fire reporting of this virus.

All of this, the press reporting, the over-reaction by governors, the constant lies about the administration. It's all completely irresponsible and dangerous.

It's called an "infodemic". Competing warnings from various governors, senators, congressmen, senators, newscasters. . .
