I wear one inside a store ( you can't go into a store here in NYC without one) out of courtesy.

As the weather gets warmer it is utterly pointless to wear one in the open air outside.

People keep using the term "the new normal." It upsets me that widespread ignorance and acceptance of deceitfulness from authority is the new normal. Then i remember: That was the old normal, too.

None of those three actually. I wear one because - roughly a month or so ago - I was in a grocery store and I could see abject fear in the eyes of an elderly man pushing a shopping cart. He was backing away with each step forward I would take. He was a very skinny, short man - looked somewhat like Dr. Fauci, actually.

At any rate, the very clear terror that this guy displayed made me feel a bit guilty. No person should be made to feel that way if I can help it...and I’d not want to deter him from shopping for needed items. So, in truth, my reason for wearing a mask is to give peace of mind to those who are very, very fearful. It’s not my intent to add to anyone’s anguish.
