What could they do about it if they did do an investigation? Steal the ability of states to hold their own elections the way that democrats tried to do?

If you don't know, that is in the Constitution.
Congress can take over federal elections and set the standards for them, if it desires.

Article I, Section 4, Clause 1: The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

But anyway, what about the search for the truth and weeding out corruption in the electoral system ? They bitched about this for the last 3 yrs. Yet when giving the chance to do something about it, they run from exposing the greatest injustice in US history.

If the claims they made in the media were true, they could demonstrate beyond a shadow of a doubt that the election was stolen. Since those claims are false, all hearings would do would be to prove that the election was not stolen. Which is why they have shunned such hearings.

They know damn well that the election was lost by Trump and that he is and was a criminal. Plan B is to pretend Biden is as big a criminal. They have failed miserably to produce anything even close to evidence. But have spread enough bullshit to keep their moron supporters on the Trump sinking ship. Next November they will pay through the nose if they insist on nominating that delusional bucket of crap again. Hopefully Biden will resign and let someone in their prime run against Trump and turn the election into a major wipeout so that we can get rid of as many of the scumbags that supported his insurrection from Congress and the Senate as possible. There is still enough time for the Dems and Joe to come to their senses and switch candidates.

I would say the time is ripe for a labor party independent of the Democrats and Republicans that can get some members into Congress to act as tribunes of the people.
