Why hasn't the minimum wage increased with the cost of living?

We all know, don't we?

Greed/Control of the masses.

Keep those that work at menial low paying jobs just to survive so they can continue their domination and take a space flight.

You know, as modern day slaves.

Gee. Those uneducated, unskilled "masses" could very easily work harder and smarter and earn more money, make themselves more valuable. Or they could go to night school, earn a degree and get a better job. Tell us again why a higher wage is an entitlement to the stupid.

Gee! Why don't those Einsteins in low paying jobs just QUIT and take one of the hundreds of offers pouring in every day for six figure jobs. Why stay in a low paying job when clearly they are worth more? Hmm.

You know, as modern day slaves.

Actually, this idiot

is paid millions of dollars by Nike, where the shoes are made by modern day slaves in China.

And to add to your somewhat diminished education, NOBODY from the educated classes has EVER suggested the minimum wage would by itself increase the cost of living. Joe, the President has managed to usher in a new wave of INFLATION and about the only thing he hasn't done is use the Exec order to raise the minimum wage.

(I'm still amazed I have to explain this, but some people are as dense as lead.)
The DIRECT effect of raising the minimum wage is (a) stupid people worth LESS than the minimum wage NOT getting hired, and (b) stupid people worth LESS than the minimum wage getting laid off when the wage goes over what they are worth.

Sometimes, minimum wage employers use technology to get past the socialism of government mandates. This device easily replaces idiots who are not worth the minimum wage.

A person's worth in the workplace is NOT an ENTITLEMENT. There is no such thing as a "living wage." The BROKEST minimum wage dishwasher in America is super rich compared to a worker in Somalia, China, Venezuela, or other socialist schitholes.

Earth to idiots: Three proven strategies guaranteed to prevent you from poverty.

1. Stay in school and graduate. Do not drop out.

2. Do not have children unless you are in a stable relationship, (gee, I remember when Marriage filled that bill quite nicely).

3. Do not quit you job until you have found another one.

MILLIONS of Americans all across the fruited plain (most of which are Republicans) manage to prosper by following those EASY rules. No need for a government handout or mandates for higher pay.

Your ignorance shows no bounds. First, I don't live in Tallahassee. Secondly, both sub pay and teacher pay vary according to the county. (I've mentioned this many times, mostly from experience, since I've subbed in three different Florida counties) Third, this article is a LIE because sub pay goes along the same lines as teacher pay: by the academic degree. A Masters Degree brings in more than a Bachelor's degree. A Doctorate brings in more. Permanent subs get a boost in pay.

How about growing some brains and sticking to the subject of the thread, rather than going out of your way to insult other posters?

Only snowflakes get insulted when the irony gets pointed out. That’s all I’m doing, pointing out the hilarious irony.

Anyone would find it hilarious when a poor person speaks negatively on people in their same bracket.

You're the only snowflake in this conversation. And so far, you're doing all the whining.

Anyone would find it hilarious when a poor person speaks negatively on people in their same bracket.

I find it hilarious when lazy idiots come across like they're ENTITLED to the same wages as DOCTORS, but they don't want to work even a seven hour day. And I REALLY find it hilarious when other liberal idiots bitch about the difference in pay between the two.

And it is HILARIOUS that you bring up teacher pay in Florida. The states boasting the highest teacher pay have the WORST educated students in the country. Also, they have racketeering Teachers UNIONS, which force that money out of the state. And they basically graduate IDIOTS, who vote for Democrats.

New York's teachers produced morons who elected that idiot AOC, and that mass murderer Andrew Cuomo, and that moron who destroyed New York City, DiBlasio. There's your proof. California elected that cretin for governor. Those students are idiots.

Florida on the other hand puts out the best educated students in America, and does it at a discount. Of course, our AMAZING Governor DeSantis has been very kind to Florida teachers.

Putting Students, Families and Teachers First

  • Historic Investments in Florida’s Education System:
    • Called for and secured the highest ever per-pupil spending totals at $7,793 per student, an increase of more than $137 per student over the previous year.
    • Secured the highest ever K-12 public school funding, with $22.5 billion in state and local funding, including $100 million for mental health initiatives.
    • Increased the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten budget for a total of more than $400 million.

  • Pay Raises for Florida teachers:
    • Championed and secured $500 million to raise the minimum teacher salary and provide raises for veteran teachers and other instructional personnel, boosting Florida to top five in the nation for starting teacher pay.
    • Maintained $10 million in funding to support teacher bonuses and professional development in computer science.

  • Expansion of school choice options for students:
    • Championed and signed legislation to increase the enrollment of the Family Empowerment Scholarship by nearly 30,000 students.
    • Secured an increase of $42 million for a total of nearly $190 million in funding for the Gardiner Scholarship, clearing the scholarship waitlist.
    • In October, Step Up for Students awarded their one millionth school choice scholarship since the organization’s founding in 2001. During the 2019-20 school year, the Florida Department of Education, Step Up for Students, and AAA Scholarships collectively funded over 180,500 scholarships for students with special needs, students from low-middle income families, students who have endured bullying, and students who struggle with reading.

  • Elimination of Common Core from Florida’s classrooms and replaced with Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards (Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking).
    • The State Board of Education formally adopted Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards. They will be fully implemented by 2022.

No matter what WokeNazi lying source you produce, the whole country knows that Florida tops the country as far as education goes.
We have the best schools and the best teachers.

And maybe teacher pay isn't such a big deal in this right to work state because the cost of living isn't as fcking high as the idiot Blue States.
