Same reason Parler failed. The Trump brand is absolutely toxic to over half the population. The mass-markets of the world's, the Coca-colas, the McDonald's, the Fords of the world won't waste their advertising there when there are platforms that have a broader audience and the technical know-how to target those ads.
Truth social will never be self-sufficent. It will only exist as long as there as are rich idiots who think the best way to pwn the libz is to lose money.

Parler failed because it was blacklisted by the payment processing industry. Gab is doing well because it is self-sufficient. We'll see about Truth Social.

There is a huge demand for a conservative twitter or facebook.
