Why have they not been paid to the level of their importance? If they are that important then they should be paid like they are they that important.
The strike is proof of the disparity between market prices and the employer’s offer.Eye of the beholder.
Capitalism relies on strikes and other forms of class struggle to reconcile wages with supply and demand. Why have they not been paid to the level of their importance?
Looks like some sort of shit deal is being exposed. This administration supposedly secured them a great deal, something to the effect of a 21% increase, what they fail to mention is these people can never take off. That kind of sucksTake the Starbucks barista malcontents…move them to the RR…take the RR malcontents…move them to Starbucks. Let them all piss and moan and express raging bitterness over the “Thanksgiving” holiday.
Interesting that what occurs on a given administration’s watch is attributed to that administration’s overall effectiveness only when it’s the other guy. As always.
Because business owners will take advantage of employees till employees fight back. Why have they not been paid to the level of their importance?
Supply demands that these wages be reconciled.Capitalism relies on strikes and other forms of class struggle to reconcile wages with supply and demand.
It's very dramatic. In my experience a simple conversation always works.. none of this evil employer bullshit...Because business owners will take advantage of employees till employees fight back.
That's how capitalism works.

Dunno. Is “interstate commerce” affected by RR strikes? Shall I take you to Constitutional Law School? Or…are you merely one-lining a thread into oblivion yet again to fill that apparent void you have?So you want Biden and the government to go get involved in a squabble that lies purely in the private sector?
Yeah, it’s always something…Looks like some sort of shit deal is being exposed. This administration supposedly secured them a great deal, something to the effect of a 21% increase, what they fail to mention is these people can never take off. That kind of sucks
Sounds like you are whole-hearted endorsing more government regulation.Dunno. Is “interstate commerce” affected by RR strikes? Shall I take you to Constitutional Law School? Or…are you merely one-lining a thread into oblivion yet again to fill that apparent void you have?
Anyway…no matter. The current administration is inoculated by (D). The buck only stops with the other.
Uh..ok.In my experience. You always look for a way to f*ck your employer before they f*ck you.
If you don't then you will get stuck in 2% annual raise situation. And f*ck that.
Labor Secretary says Congress needs to block rail strikes without new deals | CNN BusinessAnd how would Congress make the strikers back down?

Cry us a riverBecause business owners will take advantage of employees till employees fight back.

They are paid high wagesIf they are that important then they should be paid like they are they that important.
More than OCF makes a year I'm sureNot horrible, by most people's standards.
None of that means anything to me.There’s also the matter that using the military to break strikes amounts to forced labor, and is prohibited by the Constitution, by the UN Charter, and (one can hope) by the resolve of the strikers.
AverageAverage about 90K per year currently.
