You Never Know About a Football Game

Tonight, the 2 top 2021 NFL offenses (Dallas Cowboys & Tampa Bay Buccaneers), and the only 2 teams to have scored over 500 points, faced each other. One would think it would have been a high scoring game (maybe 50 to 40 or so), but just the opposite happened.

Only 1 touchdown was scored. Only 22 total points were scored, and it was the defenses that showed their stuff. Just when you think you've got it all figured out.....you don't.

Great win for Bucs. When they won it all a couple years back it was all about their defense and not making mistakes on offense. Same as when they won under Gruden With that great defense Tony Dungy built. Defense wins championships. Brady is smart enough to know how to win without scoring 30 points a game by controlling the ball and letting the defense wear down the opposition. After what Buffalo did to the Rams, Minnesota did to Greenbay and the Bears did to San Francisco, Tampa Bay looks like the odds on favorite to return to the Super Bowl.
