"Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter has criticized such use of UAVs: 'We don't know how many hundreds of innocent civilians have been killed in these attacks ... This would have been unthinkable in previous times.'[31]

"The U.S. launched an investigation following an August 2021 drone attack in Kabul that killed 7 children, their father who worked for a U.S. employer, and other family members.[32]

"On September 17, the Department of Defense confirmed that the strike was a 'tragic mistake' and killed 10 civilians"

Yep. We didn't forget that not all of them have been taken out yet. If we can't capture them, we can kill 'em.

Good. However our memory is not that long, why just a few months ago after President Biden humiliated the country in his botched withdraw we were told "Al Qaeda" was not in Afghanistan........

So it goes.

Ok. As an aside, did his saying that mean that zawahiri might never visit, pass through, vacation, incidentally pause there etc..ever?

Why no he didn't because that talking point would not work..... the response would be something along the lines of.....

"he is probably on a shopping spree given the billions in military hardware you left behind Mr. Whispering A-shole.... I mean Mr. President..."

Defending the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, President Joe Biden said at the White House on Friday: Look, let's put this thing in perspective. What interest do we have in Afghanistan at this point, with al Qaeda gone? We went to Afghanistan for the express purpose of getting rid of al Qaeda in Afghanistan as well as -- as well as -- getting Osama bin Laden. And we did."

Fact check: Biden claims al Qaeda is 'gone' from Afghanistan. Then the Pentagon confirms it's still there - CNNPolitics

I think America is learning to ignore him....What he says doesn't really mean anything.
