Theresa May’s Brexit Deal Walloped in Biggest Parliamentary Defeat in British History

That's another way of saying there's no one willing to challenge her for the PM slot, apparently because no one thinks they can actually do a better job.

They may be right.

I'm sympathetic.

QT,
Do you happen to recall whether before the plebiscite T. May favored Brexit, or opposed it?
I don't vividly remember. But I got the vague impression PM May opposed Brexit, and then was compelled by the duties of her office to conduct it.
I can't attribute a specific source, just vague memory. Can you help?
She is a Remoaner - which is why she was always the wrong person to take us out.

Take a daily vote then right? You want rule by polling? Yeah, not a wise idea.
It wasn't a poll - it was a referendum = the people are sovereign. The sovereign people lend their votes to their MPs to represent their interests in Parliament. So Parliament is sovereign via the sovereign people's votes. The peoples Reps gave the people back the vote - which cannot be overturned by anyone including the Monarch -

I know that but the person I'm responding to wants rule by polling, right?
The Yellow Vests are calling, as an idea, for Gov by referendum which does work in Switzerland as in --- when a council has some money to spend the people which live there choose, by referendum, what they want that money spent on.

But the person you were responding to is being idiotic - a per ................

Not via another referendum.
Yes, by any means dismissing the outcome of a direct democratic vote by the sovereign people of the UK would be unconstitutional . The only way that it could be done is --- Leave the EU in accordance with the outcome of the referendum - then call another referendum to rejoin. Anything else would be unconstitutional.
