Malcolm X's Birthday

On this day, May 19th, in 1925 the human rights activist, Malcolm X, was born. He wore many titles during his lifetime: pimp, thief, drug dealer when he was young. Then he was a minister of the Black Muslims, orator, husband, Father when he was an adult.
My favorite title for him is human rights activist. After he broke away from the Black Muslims,(who don't practice the same kind of Islam other Muslims practice) he realized that all of humanity is worthy. He realized we are all equal in the eyes of our Creator. So, his goal was to get human rights for Blacks and other people of color.
Sadly, Malcolm X was assassinated like many other leaders of the 1960's. He is gone, but not forgotten. Happy Birthday, Brother Malcolm.

Curator Thomas (Smithsonian) : "The reason people really have to understand Malcolm X, whether you agree with him or not, he was committed to the upliftment of black people, and I think that’s the most important thing that we should know about Malcolm X,” Thomas says.

Whether we like or dislike Malcolm X doesn't matter. His contribution to history was hugely important.
