Ode To Myself
Painters paint self portraits
Which are sometimes called great art,
I've decided to write an Ode to myself
But don't know where to start.
I've got so many good traits
That I just can't list them all
So I will just pick a few
And let the others fall.
Some people disregard the truth
And some may even abuse it,
But I value the truth so much
That I seldom ever use it.
I know I shouldn't toot my own horn
For that would be the rudest.
But I also know that if I don't
Then my horn will go untootethed.
Some say that brevity should be honored
For it is the soul of wit.
That might be true, but as for me
I just don't give a whit.
They say that to err is human
And that just might be true,
But I've got to end this eulogy
So I'll just say, "I'm through."
