Giant squid filmed in ocean depths for 1st time

TOKYO (AP) -- After a hundred dives deep into the Pacific, scientists and broadcasters say they have captured video images of a giant squid in its natural habitat deep in the ocean for the first time.

I recorded the Discovery Channel reporting of the first direct observations of living giant squid. Very interesting story of three separate but related efforts to attract, observe and film a giant squid in it's own habitat. Boiled down, one effort appealed to the giant squid's sex drive and two efforts appealed to a giant squid's hunger. Anyway, the video footage of the squid is amazing.
