with 3 recess appointments - Dems Sharon Block and Richard Griffin and Repub Terence Flynn.

The recess appointments come after the NLRB was rendered inoperable due to the expiration of Craig Becker's term on January 3. That lowered the number of people sitting on the board to two, below the quorum threshold.

After all the whining and complaining...it'll be interesting to see how fast Boehner and McConnell go before the cameras to tell the Fox News audience what a "horrible abuse of power this was"....and then drop the whole thing and forget it.

Isn't it lovely to see some parts of the Government that are badly needed functioning again?

President Obama is also meeting with SOD Panetta to cut millions or billions from the Defense Budget. I think that is taking place today.

Of course....Boehner and McConnell will complain for a few days....start talking "oversight" and "investigations" and "demanding the President pull the nominations for a full Senate vote"...blah, blah, blah...

then drop it and the Right will be distracted by New Hampshire and forget the whole thing....and John and Mitch know it.

I just read that julie -- great news indeed.

unless of course you're a union-hating rightwinger
yes, this is good news. in the meantime, repubs are continuing their war on labor. Indiana repubs and Ohio repubs are trying to make us "right to work (for less)" states.

employees in "right to work 4 less" states make on average $1500. less per year.
