Trump Lawlessness Episode 5,342: Kellyanne Conway

Truth is never a crime when it exposes evil ignorance. Example, you shoot a cop in the back of the head while he is shooting Democrats for being stupid. They have the right to be stupid
She violated the Hatch Act, repeatedly. What sort of punishment would prevent her from doing it again?

Right wingers are in full flat out lie, deflect, discredit, deflect, lie some more mode - just remember who is being defended - I am sure he has your back too! It is actually quite comical to see the weakazz defenses presented here and in the press.

So the dems just need to get their foreign help in line and let the world decide our elections - ok

I am sure all you self proclaimed staunch constitutionalists are good with this - I thought the right wingers were supposed to be the ones who upheld rule of law not broke it - so you are leaving that up to the dems now - ok got it !
As we see here, Conway’s repeated, knowing violations of the law are a symptom of the overall point - Trump’s relentless lawlessness. Trump knows that he can completely ignore the laws, and that the Republicans in Congress and his rabble will fully support his lawlessness. As far as they are concerned, the rule of law is dead.

Another recent sterling example - Trump says he will again accept the help of foreign governments in an election, and McConnell greets the news by again saying “Case closed!”

Horrifying lawlessness - the GOP’s stock-in-trade.

Will hubby George Conway, who's been a constant critic of Trump's lawlessness and unfitness for office, weigh in on his wife's making a mockery of the Hatch Act?

No we shouldn’t. We should look at the Conway violations and Trump’s lawlessness. Not try to change the subject.

Bugs you are great!! (PF wuz here)

Because OSC opinions are only advisory in regards to presidential appointees, in other words, they can’t require the White House to do anything with their opinion, this was simply an act of defiance and a bit of acting out because Conway made it clear where she stood.

The doomsday scenario laid out by OSC’s director Henry Kerner is overblown and more of a reflection of his failure to come to grips with his own impotence than anything else.

Quite honestly, most feds are mature enough to understand that people on the personal staff of the president aren’t actually civil servants. And so long as OSC can come after them for violating the Hatch Act, they will obey it to the extent they always have.

Should the Hatch Act be repealed instead of enforced?

It's not polite to call people with downs syndrome names.

But it is fun

Again, it doesn't apply to her. And they know it. Maybe read up on them a bit.

OSC is required to let the subject of an investigation read and respond to the report before it is finalized. That doesn’t seem to have been done here.

The White House is saying that employees of the Executive Office of the President are employed as political actors, not as members of the administration.

The government does not employ political actors. The employ people involved in the governance of the country.
